Nice deals... nothing I can use, but good stuff nonetheless.
Also, I'll chime in with ya'll...
Old Version = Sweet.
New Version = Well....
Still, damn nice deals! Go Egg! <3 the Egg!
I am starting to think it might not be a bad idea to wait until Monday, and reset everything there. We are losing valuable folding time! :)
Thanks, Ben, for the kind words.
***EDIT****
As of 12:09am, Grid.org appears to be back up. However, for how long is anyone's guess at this...
Uh... I don't think Grid.org is up... still getting an "unable to connect" error.
Sorry aboutthe lack o points production... I was out of town for the last week and a half for my grandfather's funeral. :(
But now that I am back... look out!
Sorry for the confusion... what I meant was whether or not you happened to have pulled 2 of them out the same machine. My apologies for the confusion. :)
Please note the following:
You are hereby ordered, under penalty of law, to cease and desist to attempting fraudulent selling of your soul via the Internet.
Your soul is legally the property of one Drucifer, who apparently won it in a poker game in New Orleans last week.
:D :D :D
Good...
May be interested in 2 of these... I am picking up a retired IBM Netfinity server (sans procs) this weekend from a friend. I will let you know when I get the server, and verify that it takes P2s. By any chance, would any of those be matched pairs?
QFT.
I keep advocating licenses to breed and leash laws for humans (after all, if it is good enough for an animal, then it is good enough for us, right?), and, so far, I have gotten three responses:
1) You're a monster! How could you?
2) Huh?
3) I can recommend a doctor to help with that...
Primary is in my living room, but the server and my Mac sit in my office, the media box will be in my bedroom, and the laptop and I just go everywhere.
However, since I really need to finish the server and Man, those two, are, sadly, nonfuctional right now. :(
What is a 1333, you ask?
A 1333 was a portable heater in the shape of a CPU made by AMD, called the Thunderbird...and, 5 years ago, was the pinnacle of performance with a 266 FSB! :D
Be glad... every day the newspapers and new are full of the crap we are dealing with. Cigarette taxes are now approaching 1.75 per PACK. Blago wants that to be near a total of $5/pack by 2007.
Road construction that consistently never ends, no money for schools, the states insistence that...
Unfortunately, I live in the godforsaken state of Illinois. Fortunately, I am 31, so I don't get carded for games, etc... only alcohol. Of course, being 31 with hair down to the middle of back might have something to do with that... but, w/e. :)
The law did pass both the House and Senate, and...
I see you are going to make me do it... darn you Carnival! :D
I will be temporarily suspending SETI @ Home on my old 1333 box to add it to UD... so, I will be bringing 2 CPU's to the fray:
My primary 3400 Claw at 2.5, and my 1333 @ sadly, stock, cause ECS don't OC for shi*.

Apparently, Intel decided to go with MS on the hardware DRM issue. The end of privacy is almost here...
Thoughts?
On Razer's site, they state that pre-orders with them (the manufacturer) will be filled before they are released to the public. So, if they have 5000 pre-orders, none will be released to the retail market.
However, on the positive side of things, I placed my pre-order through Razer's site back...
A lot of the reason nobody has copied the iPod yet, is the fact that most manufacturers still believe that more = better. The iPod shuffle proved that one wrong.
I love it... if I go walking, riding, or while I am at work, I can set a playlist on shuffle and not worry about song selection...

Remember the official motto of Gentoo Linux.... "If it moves, compile it."
I think it is pretty badass personally... just shows the power and flexibility of Linux, if nothing else. :D
Good. I currently have a ti4400 128MB Leadtek, so I'll be good there. I guess I'll hold off on the NeoPower until I upgrade the VC, and just do both at the same time. Excellent. :) Thanks, Eclipse.
Actually, as soon as I clone the MAC address of the main machine up to the router, and then register that... I have no more problems. Got one I installed for a buddy about 9 months ago, router hasn't been restarted since.
That is the next step, and also to see if my observations hold true. This A64 stuff is rather new to me, but I'll update after I do some serious work on it.
My only concern right now is power... specifically, I may not have enough to truly max the setup out. My PSU is only a True380, solid...
I knew the A64s ran cooler, but I was concerned that possibly things were a bit jiggy on the mobo with temp readings like that. I was expecting 40-45C idle. So, I thought I would ask those with a bit more experience in the realm of A64s and temps.
Last night, before playing with the OC on my "new-to-me" A64 Clawhammer, I noticed my temps, were, well... odd.
I am used to seeing temps on my old rig (TBird 1333) around 53-60C. That was normal. ANd I was okay with that, as it ran beautifully, for what it was.
During the OS load, driver...
Good idea!
I pretty much use this format: name AT isp DOT com. THat way, the spam bots only get a text field, and nothing to truly hit on in their webcrawling.
For example, if your isp was nunya.biz, your addy would like:
goaway AT nunya DOT biz, rather than [email protected]
