They canceled the charge on my CC within a few hours of voiding the transaction. Probably was quicker then that, it was the first time I had taken a look.
Damn, mine is now voided, too. And I jumped on this 19 minutes after the original post.
GAHHH, I need hard drives, too. Too much SATA, short-waranty, mail-in-rebate crap out these days, too.
Still waiting at step 3.
Personally, I don't much care how much I can make off them, I need them for actual storage on my machines.
Now, if someone wanted to trade me one of the drives for a socket A barton 2800 or 3000, I just might be interested. :)
I think it should've been $89.99 as the price and $30.01 as the savings. Oh well, ordered two anyway (need space) and will just see if it goes through. 7200rpm and 5 year warranty FTW!
Could always buy it for $8 and then return it with the other receipt while it was still sealed. So long as they don't put any kind of stickers on it, you could do that easily. And really, I don't think there is a legal issue there because it's exactly the same product you purchased on that...
They would give me $21 for my Nokia 6061 that I got maybe 7 years ago. That is definitely scary that they would want that, but not the 21"CRT monitor that I have sitting in my closet.
It's more of a prequel to GTA3.
If that is what bothered you, yes, you play the white guy in this game. (I don't see where it makes a difference, but I know some people hated GTA:SA specifically for that reason)
Seems Circuit City doesn't carry Ep1 in store, and didn't have HL2 in stock, so I walked down to GameStop and got it pricematched there. They weren't too happy about pricematching to the online printed pages, but oh well.
Side note, they also had Liberty City Stories in for the PS2, but...
I decided I am just going to try to pricematch Fry's ($12.99) at Circuit City later tonight since we have a Fry's locally.
I found it on the page 11, though... didn't see the 4 pieces of software on sale in there before. Doh! This will definitely be my backup tonight for pricematching. Thanks. :)
Release date is 6/7/06, so I think it should be available Wednesday, right? Or do they consider after 5pm on Tuesday to be the next business day, and sell it early?
Yup, not going to use mine, either. Whoever uses it just post to give a thanks & used note.

Basically... I want to mod the neo-flex so that it will allow the screen to be lower.
The arm has that locking mechanism to change the height, but it only allows the arm to move upward. I was wondering if anyone had modified their to move downward instead, or at least downward one notch...
Has anyone managed to do this decently? I've got a new setup and my screen is just way too high, I'd like to be able to drop it another 1.5-2".
I've considered just wedging something under the rear edge of the clamp so that is tilts forward more (which works, but doesn't give me nearly enough...
Once you sign up an account on their site, they mail you "stuff" all the time with deals on it. I've already seen 3 emails from them and I've only had an account for 3-4 weeks.
Gilthanis - I feel your pain. Probably half of the people out there never had to deal with an older machine with that stupid 20GB limitation. I remember the first time I tried to put a brand-spankin-new 80GB drive into my pII 400 machine. Took me a week and 3-4 calls to tech. support before...
I have this drill as well, but I haven't had much bad luck with it yet, and I mostly work with metals. The chuck could probably use replacing, as the drill bit likes to spin in it on occasion, but other than that, I have little complaints. Mostly, I got the drill press so that I could drill...
Ahhh, I keep forgetting. New numbers:
A 20.1" diagonal screen with a 4:3 ratio measures to be 12.1"x16.1", and has a total viewing area of 194.8 square inches.
A 20.1 diagonal screen with a 16:10 ratio measures to be 10.7"x17.0", and has a total viewing area of 181.9 square inches.
Not...
Whats wrong with what he said? Math-wise...
A 20.1" diagonal screen with a 4:3 ratio measures to be 12.1"x16.1", and has a total viewing area of 194.8 square inches.
A 20.1 diagonal screen with a 16:9 ratio measures to be 9.9"x17.5", and has a total viewing area of 173.3 square inches...
I'm going to agree with the above poster.
Personally, this deal has me intrigued because of the screen, but it's not a *wonderful* deal. You can get the screen on ebay all day long for about $380-400, and $240 for the system (don't forget tax) isn't great when you consider that you (or at...
Ahhhh, I stand corrected.
I've stayed away from MIR's since my bad dealings with Iomega with my damn ZIP drive. Didn't get the rebate (ever) and it died in less than 9 months of clicking death.
$80 of the rebates look to need to be postmarked by 4/30 (4 days away). Unless you pay for quick shipping and they ship it to you quick, I think you might have a few troubles with this (unless I'm reading those rebates' terms wrong).
Ever since Iomega skipped out on giving me my zip drive rebate (and 6 months later it developed clicking death, too!), I have avoided every MIR I could. It's nothing but a short-term loan to the company, of which you're lucky to get back.
Just remember to bring in one per item you intend to buy, they don't mean 20% off your entire order, only 20% per item.
It's rather frustrating having to bring many multiple coupons if you intend on buying a bunch of seperate glasses, but it's better to know ahead of time rather then be...
Any chance for more details on that Intel barebones setup? A search for the model number on google yields very few results and no other details.
Basically looking to see what type of bays it has, if it comes with a power supply, etc. More pictures would be EXTREMELY helpful, and one of the...
People use the "candy" color spraypaints to paint their tail lights on their cars red. Basically it's a transluscent red color when it's done. Just look at model paints in spray cans.
I never said poor build quality, I said poor quality and referred to their resolution of their ratcheting mechanism.
There have been so few situations where I could actually use a ratcheting wrench that locks every 25°, that I could count it on one hand. I work on cars mainly, and I really...
Those are really poor quality wrenches. 25° per ratchet is absolutely horrible if you're using them for actually working on something other then light work. Gearwrenches are still the king for things like this (ref).
Harbor Freight is great, but take into account that it may take you 1.5-2 weeks to get things on occasion since they dropship pretty much everything, it seems.
Also, that unit can only work with up to 18ga. material (.048") and I believe that most cases, etc are made of 16ga. material...
I'm guessing because he doesn't want to remove the pins from the plugs.
Spiral loom with a slice down the side would give you a whole ton of partial rings, not a continuous piece.
I suppose you could use sleeving and slice it down one side and then use a bunch of uv-reactive zip ties to...
You can't use a dimmer on a flourescent tube. Take a look around and think about it... when is the last time you saw a light fixture somewhere that was flourescent on a dimmer switch? I am willing to bet never.
You can buy automotive window tint in rolls for next to nothing at parts stores...
