for what its worth (which is not much honestly) i've had the same problems. I'm assuming you mean the random drops to 1-2 fps for a couple secs. I've tried lowering the volumetric lighting, turning off hardware sound acceleration...still does it. I dont know what to tell you :confused:

Comp-u-plus is a great company and I think many have been aware that they had them in stock its just the $490 price tag that keeps people away :eek:. I'd rather wait a couple weeks and get one for $399 rather than shell out an extra 90 bucks to get it now.

With a $200 limit a 9800pro is the way to go. Its unlikely we'll see the 6800/x800s come down in price to that range within the next year. A 9800 pro is still an excellent card and at 200$ is a good value in my opinion.

Also, I think you will find 80gigs fills up faster than you can imagine. You can find great deals on 160 gig SATA drives out there.

In all honesty, work on getting out of debt before buying any kind of video card. At least have a plan to pay off the credit card bill before you spend any more money.
