I want to build my own computer for gaming and entertainment. Its much cheaper to build your own computer as I have found out. Im new to this so I dont know if these parts are good or even compatible. I think all this parts are cheap and of high quality. I really need some experienced advice. Any help would be very helpful. You need to relook your motherboard/processor combo, they aren't the same socket. AMD 64's are socket 754, 940, or 939. You have a socket A (Athlon XP/Duron) board.
 
if you're not overclocking, just get some cheap Kingston Value RAM and put the money saved towards a better graphics card, IE 6800GT or X800Pro. It might also be nice if you switched the CD-RW to a combo drive
 
Fix the motherboard/processor mishap and you'll be fine. The A7N8X is a sound choice if you want to use socket A. I would go with a SATA hard drive just for the convenience of routing the cable.
 
Also, I think you will find 80gigs fills up faster than you can imagine. You can find great deals on 160 gig SATA drives out there.
