Just look around in the FS/FT forums and im sure you are bound to find a deal.
Hell i just picked up a ic7 max 3 with a pressy 3.2 for $175 so im sure you can find something decent.
thanks. im doing a bit more research.
things sure have changed alot since i was last at this forum. i remember when the 6800gt was the card to beat. hehe.
ok a little update.
same friend offered me a x800pro agp for 120 bucks.
sound decent, or are there other AGP options around the same price range that i should opt for?
Thanks for the imput guys.
Already bought them, and everything looks great. Now i need to see if i can get my hands on some cheap water cooling parts to keep that pressy coooooool.
I need to put together a quick comp for gaming/surfing/etc, and a friend offered to sell me his mobo/cpu combo.
its a prescott 3.2 socket 478 and an abit ic7 max 3 with all original boxes etc. for $175

Ive just recently experienced what the cheaters have done to the game first hand. About a week ago i was slay/kicked/banned from my favorite pub because i was being accused of hacking. Like Stealth5325 said ive had my days where i was totally owning and my days that i just wasnt playing well at...
is it possible these days?
a very close friend of mine is ready to build his new system, and want to go with intel. he does quite a bit of gaming and already has a 9800pro.
what he needs is mobo, cpu, ram. the main things he wants are stability, gaming, and price/performance. so what would...
I really appreciate ALL the imput that you guys have put into this thread. Im pretty sure that im going to go 754 for now. If im not happy with it then i guess 939 will be the way for me. But as of right now, LANparty here i come. :)
i know the 754 will run the games. im just trying to justify the extra money that the 939 rig is going to cost vs. the 754. which is the better motherboard? the lanparty or the platinum?
i guess i should elaborate on " a long time." it would probably be a good year until i upgrade again. i just want something that is going to handle all the newest games nicely for around a year or two. still so confused.
hi all. its time for me to build my new comp, and ive come to a dilemma. im trying to decide if i should go 939 or 754. keep in mind that i am on a pretty small budget and every penny counts. a local retailer has a sale going on and its time to purchase my motherboard.
proc will be a 3000+...
ive been looking at SFFs for a while, but im having a hard time trying to find something that will give me the kind of OCing abilities that my mid tower does. i have a xp-m 2500+ as well. good luck and let us know what you decide.
my chipset fan is starting to sound like its going to take a poop and die. i havent had this mobo any longer than 2 months and the chipset fan started making a buzzing sound yesterday and im afraid its going to die. what is a good replacement fan? what kind of damage am i lookin at if the fan...
what kind of cooling do you have? i have a xp-m 2500@ 3200 and im getting heat issues. my temp sensor is mounted on the back of the motherboard and im getting 50c idle temps. i dont understand because the comp is perfectly stable and never crashes on me even after a few hours of hard gaming.
didnt know where to post this, but i know this section has the most traffic. on my bios under the advanced chipset features i see a couple of options i dont understand. they are FSB spread spectrum and AGP sread spectrum. what do they mean and should i turn them off? what about AGP fastwrite and...
im pretty sure you can order that case through monarch. its like 150 bucks and not worth it imo. you would be much better going with the aria considering it has a PSU and is cheaper.
