Hey all,

I was just wondering what some of you are running for multi's on those mobile Bartons.
I have a 2400+ mobile right now running at 2.2 ghz (sig) and I was wondering how high this proc will go as far as an OC goes. My teps are pretty good right now, I run around 39C idle and 44-45C load. The vCore is at 1.65 so Im thinking I have bunch more headroom to work with. Would I be correct?

My AthlonXP-M Barton 2400+ is running 2.53ghz @ 1.85v on water. I'd say you have some headroom. ;)

Hehe, good. Ive been in the OC'ing scene for quite some time but just recently upgraded my JIUHB xp 1700+ to the mobile and so far I love it. Cant beat 3200+ speeds for under $100.

I forget the manufacturer. But Its a heatpipe cooler... Bought it when they were new to the market and it hasn't disappointed me yet. Im at 2.3 GHZ and MBM reports 40C idle and 45C load. Decent I would say.

dammit.. where do you guys live? Must be cold? Air Conditioning?

I'm in L.A. and my 2400M is at 2.2Ghz, 1.75V, AC5, Tt Silent Boost Copper HSF idling at 47C idle and 53C load.

I've also got 6x80mm fans goin on with a pretty good wiring job. I guess I'll wait for fall/winter to come around and get back on this :p

My 2600+ is running 12*200 ATM. Going to try to get my FSB back up into the 'astronomical' range (I had my old barton running with a FSB over 224 mhz, on PC3200 RAM).

silent boost is inferrior to slk... those temps are about right for silent boost

I'm in GA... Not *that* cold. But I have ac in my apt so my room temp stays around 73F.

I'm running a 13.5 multiplier at 190 FSB for 2.55 GHz at 1.7 volts. My pc2700 ram is forcing me to use a high multi.

If I were you, I'd experiment with a 14 multi and lower FSB. Or look into better RAM. ;)

My 2400-M is chuggin along at 2.77 (230x12) GHz @ 1.9v
Wow, thats awesome. I hope I can match those numbers... you don't know what stepping you're working with, do you?

Any advantages with a lower FSB and 14 multi? I'm getting some pc3200 soon so 2.6 GHz should be within range.

myself, my xp-m 2500+ is running at 12.5x200 = 2.5ghz

using 1.925 volts on it, runs about 43-45 idle, and 48-49 under load.

(its prime stable)

im using an sp-97 for cooling (but im thinking of getting a 80mm high cfm fan to replace my current 92mm one, people say it can actually do better)

Well, with your current RAM, it would give you a little more room to play. That's about the only thing. ;)
