Never seen before! World smallest ITX case with full size GPU 4.7L, ready to break record!

Confused why we're stuck on full-length GPUs. The mini versions seem to work pretty well, and would reduce volume quite a bit. I'm also in favor of internal PSUs rather than a brick, but agree having it on any side besides the back (or bottom I suppose, with a hole for the cord) would be odd.

Hades Canyon NUC - Kaby Lake with Vega GPU

I bought my Skull Canyon w/ 6770hq for ~$550, and it was bundled with a 256gb m.2 and 8gb stick. I just added another matching 8gb stick for $40, so was built all-in for <$600. These will be considerably more expensive, but hopefully some deals will pop up again to make it more reasonable. I...

Hades Canyon NUC - Kaby Lake with Vega GPU

I'm pretty excited about this though. Yes, price-wise we can build something much more capable for less, but not in this form factor (7L vs 1.2L). Looking forward to having one of the 100w skus in the bedroom.

Project Orthrus - Smallest SLI mATX case (V2)

Looks amazing---but I expect will be expensive all-in once it goes into production. Really awesome job designing it.

    CCD MI-6: Performance in a 6.7L MIcrotower

Latest design looks great! I agree with everything Boil said about black hardware, black sunken screws on the sides, and black USB ports. Also dislike the shiny front panel from earlier picks (reminds me of old refrigerators), something with a fine, matte texture (or brushed) would be cool...

Kaby Lake 7700K vs Sandy Bridge 2600K IPC Review @ [H]

Thanks Kyle for doing this, and Nimisys for generously providing the sandy bridge hardware. Much appreciated guys. The results do make me sad though. I know you guys all know this already, but the desktop enthusiast market is quite small (and shrinking). The CPU demands for the vast...

SENTRY: Console-sized gaming PC case project

This case looks awesome, especially in white! What a beautiful and streamlined design, inside and out! I've subscribed to emails. My one and only design suggestion on the white case is that the black power button looks (in my own opinion) a bit out of place on the clean white chassis. Looks...

EA Store - Buy 2 Digital Games and get 40% off of order in addition to 30%* coupon

I was thinking Dragon Age: Origins + LOTR: Rise of the Witch King (never got around to getting it) for $25 total. Not bad. How much of a pain is EA's digital download service? Is it not worth it? Do i have to install crappy software to make this work?

Steam weekend deal: Mass Effect $9.99

Best. Game. Ever. If you have not played Mass Effect, this is your chance. Easily my favorite game of all time. Simply brilliant. Too bad I paid ~$50 for mine when it was released :(

    37" westinghouse or 42" phillips

I have the common 37" 1080P Westinghouse (link) and couldn't be happier. I've used both VGA (my old PC) and DVI (new pc) and PC looks perfect over both of those. Gaming is excellent and I never notice any ghosting or lag. As a TV it's good (but not great), though I'm overall very happy with...

    $1500 case build, advice/suggestions needed

I just build a rig for ~$1500 a few weeks ago (in my sig). I'm extremely happy with it. I put a lot of time researching, so feel free to use it as a guide. As for RAM, I'd go with the G.skill 2x2gb kit (probably the DDR2-1000, but all are great). I got Corsair dominator but the G.skill give...

    Newegg Rebate Questions. Help?

Actually, I think I got them all through newegg's rebate center...they don't make it so easy to find, but I figured it out. My apologies for the unnecessary thread.

    Newegg Rebate Questions. Help?

I ordered some the parts for the build in my sig on Monday (six days ago). However, I didn't print out the rebates at the time of order. I went to go print them out and send them in today, and realized that several are no longer listed on the site because they have been replaced by newer dated...

    CPU/GPU Bottleneck?

From what I understand, any quad over 3.0Ghz will not bottleneck your GPU. At such a high resolution, only your GPU can really be the bottleneck, even though it's super powerful.

New Build, Audio problems, Please help!

    Q9550...can't go over 3200Mhz...

My rig is in my signature below. The best I can do is a 376FSB, 8.5x, 1100Mhz RAM...Even if I raise the voltage to 1.5v it's unstable. I've tried over/underclocking the RAM, lowering the mutli, raising the voltage, but to no avail on my P5Q Pro. I'm new to overclocking, but I've seen...

New Build, Audio problems, Please help!

I just finished my first ever build. Everything is working great except the audio. I'm hoping that some of the audio experts around here will be able to help. I'm using the build in my signature. I installed my X-Fi Xtremegamer today, and it only works when I disable HD Audio in the bios...

    Best quiet case

I just ordered my P182....got a few Scythe fans just to play around, but they're more for "extra" than replacement. I decided on this one because I hear it's super quiet and I like how it looks. I got the chance to play around with one at my local J&R, and those side panels feel rock...

    I got my LianLi PC-A05B ! it's Small!

That's pretty sweet, no joke. I decided to go with a P182 when the free shipping dissapeared on the a05b, but I have to say, you PC-a05b owners are among the most creative modders I've seen in any arena (ie. outside of PC-building).

4870 CF or wait 2 weeks for 4870x2

I went with a single 4870 myself, only because I wasn't sure how much power I'd really need. Since the performance difference doesn't seem all that significant between 2x 4870 and a 4870x2 at my resolution (1920x1080), I figured I'd try one first. I spend far more time with...

    Different 4850 brands for Crossfire?

I guess this is a relatively simple question, but would it be a problem to use two different brands of 4850s for a CrossfireX setup? For instance, could I get one Asus 4850, and one MSI 4850 without seeing any sort of problems? I'm under the impression that this would work just fine, but I...

    I got my LianLi PC-A05B ! it's Small!

Ok gents, thanks for the input. I'm going to go with a single 4870, probably the MSI version because it comes with GRID, is on the cheaper end as far as 4870s go, and is overclocked to 780/2000 out of the factory. I notice though that people seem to like the Visiontek? Is there a compelling...

    I got my LianLi PC-A05B ! it's Small!

    I got my LianLi PC-A05B ! it's Small!

I decided to go with the Corsair HX620 instead because I know it will fit. Another question for you PC-a05b experts: Is running to 4850s in crossfire going to be too hot for the case? I don't plan on making any blowhole mods or anything. The build would look like this now: Case: Lian Li...

the new MSI 4850 with what looks like better cooling...

Has anyone actually had this card? It's $163 at newegg AR, not a bad deal if you're in the market for a 4850. I'm curious to see what an actual owner has to say about temperatures though.

Difference between the e8400 and the e8500?

Right, you get +0.5 on the multiplier. I've also heard that the e8500 generally overclocks better than the e8400.

Ready to order SFF build, any problems?

Wow, that's really helpful, thanks. If I remember correctly pharoah, you're the one who modded the case to fit your GTX 260, right? Very cool. Guess the only question that remains is whether to choose the e8500 or q6600...the same question everyone has. XD.

Ready to order SFF build, any problems?

OK, thanks again guys. I'm worried that the q6600 will get to hot in my case. If I OC it to 3.0Ghz but no futher, would I be ok with the Zalman 8700 in the Microfly case? Or will my apartment burn down? Also, what if I clock my e8500 "just" to 3.6Ghz but no further (that would be my...

Ready to order SFF build, any problems?

Oh, I see. Do you guys know if the modular cables that come with the included PSU would work with the hx520? I guess that's not a big deal, but I know the hx520 cables are really long, which could make things messy. Also, I'm still leaning toward the quad, but if I went with the e8500 would...

Ready to order SFF build, any problems?

Thanks Danny. I checked the FAQ but I think this version of the case is rather new. Anyone know if the Zalman 7700 specifically fits? If so, I'll go with that. I see your point about the PSU too. However, since it comes with the sytem, I might give it a shot and if it fails, I'll get a...

Ready to order SFF build, any problems?

Thanks for your reply mrmylanman. Have another quick question: If I'm new to PC-building (done some upgrades, but would be my first full build). Would it be a bad idea to use a case like the Microfly BX6? All the components I want to put into a case could fit in one that size, and I really...

Finally time to order, first build!

I'd do the Xigmatek 963, but I'm still a bit nervous about it fitting in there. Should I get the mounting bracket with this one as well? Those motherboards look fine, and since most people say there's not much difference between PCIe 1.0 vs. 2.0, it should suit my needs. If I got the mATX...

Finally time to order, first build!

I was considering swapping the mobo for a mATX and putting it all in a Cooler Master Elite 340. If I decide to do this, what mobo and heatsink should I get? Would the Zalman 9500 fit in there? I just realized that even mid-tower cases are pretty huge and heavy and I have to move this thing...
