It seems the conclusion is that for gaming there won't be much of a difference, can anyone tell me for video encoding (basically frapsing gameplay footage @1650x1080 or w/e that resolution is then encoding it with virtualdub) would be different between the two processors?
Thanks for the tip jebo, I'll look into those~
If I do that for now... will my system shut itself down before it does any damage? Or will it damage itself? I'm not overclocking, but my case is usaully pretty hot as it is.
The northbridge chipset fan on my IC7 Max3 is dying now, its not quite dead, but hums crazy loud, I've tried cleaning it and such and nothing.... what's the best way to get a replacement for it? Direct from abit? or any better suggestions?
Thanks alot.
I'll keep this short and sweet, what do people recommend for tablet laptops? I've been looking at the IBM (Lenova for you anal people) ones, what other options are there? For university use, looking for something with a 12-14 inch screen, decent specs to last a few years, but I plan to have also...

iirc, the google bot can be disabled with some parts on many BBs, because it can slow them or whatever, else I'm not sure but often it will ignore the URL past the ? or = or whatever sign in it, I can't quite remember, I used to know alot about how google works....
When I put my first machine together I was just like you, don't worry its all really simple. My abit Mobo had a great manual so yours will probably be just as good, just go with what it says and do everything slowly and careful and you'll do fine.
Its a full robot...
I woulda thought more than 20k man...
Anyway lol, just kicking that, hahaha, sending it flying onto the road would be pretty elite, hahaa.

My keyboard was like that, until in bios I changed something I forget where, but I set it to have BIOS to control the keyboard, and not the OS, somewhere in my BIOS was a mouse controller and keyboard controller, hope you get the idea, take a look around, what mobo you have?
My Zalman 7000Cu works like a charm, if OCing turn it up with the little remote and its still pretty quiet, and if not then turn it down and you pretty much can't hear it at all, the only pain was getting the damn thing on, ;p.
just reinstalled the drivers... no luck :X Also went through all the settings too.
My speakers are logitech z-340s.
As for jumpers, on my mobo the jumpers are on right I think, they wwere on by default and I took them off to look at them, but put them back on in the exact place, and...
Yeah, its onboard sound. I know I've got the speakers in the right port, I think I've got some of the wiring screwed up or something, I'm stumped X_X. I'm sure it'll end up being the dumbest thing too.
edit: If it helps the onboard sound is 'onboard realtekk ALC650 6-channel AC 97 CODEC'
Ok, I just put my machine together... XP installed, internet working everything... only the sound doesn't work...
