Thanks. I guess I'll try an older version of the BIOS then. lol, most people would tell you to use the latest version of the BIOS to fix problems, not older ones.
I found it, it's the modded uberBIOS 1.005 or 1.007. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
The temps aren't that high, but b/c my setup is to run quietly it's not that low.
Idle = 50 C
Load = 56 C
Ambient = 24 C.
I am using Thermalright SK6 with Vantec 80mm Stealth fan.
I have the A7N8X-x mobo with an AMD Thunderbird 1.2 Ghz. The default voltage is 1.75V. When I go into the BIOS to change the voltage, I only have options larger than 1.75V, nothing smaller. Previously, I had the MSI 6330 K7T-Turbo, VIA KT133A and I was able to undervolt the chip to 1.65V, which...

Here's Dell's site on a newer driver for the 2200BG. Here's compaq site for drivers, the driver is the one dated Aug 15, 2004 but is approx 7 MB, the 25 MB is the Intel 8.1 Proset.
I am running Windows XP SP2 with Intel 2200BG card using driver 8.0.12.20000 (current one from Intel, but not the newest one from my provider). I haven't experienced this in the week I've had SP2 installed. If worst comes to worst, why don't you try a quick reinstall of WinXP SP2 on the spare...
Thank you I've checked that out also. Seems like the battery life is decent but doesn't compare to that of IBM or even X1000 line. Maybe he was running with the screen at full brightness?
I don't think so, all Mobile Pentium 4M should not have hyperthreading but most newer Mobile Pentium 4 should have it. (N.B. Mobile Pentium 4 M not= Mobile Pentium 4)

Hello, I've done a search in this forum for the words "asus Z9" and Z9 is too short, so I tried "asus z9000" and no result.
For about $1500 Cdn = $1100 US, this seems like the cheapest Pentium M laptop that I can find in Canada. I know shared video sucks, blah blah blah, but it provides ok...
That's a good deal, get the Toshiba. I've noticed that I can't find the Toshiba M10 on staples.ca site, but they have the Compaq 1050CA at 1497 instead of 1699 at Futureshop.
Another choice is the Compaq X1050CA, found here. Almost the same specs as the Toshiba M10, but lower screen (WXGA), Radeon 9200 instead of Geforce, and WinXP Home.
That's my laptop choice, but it's 1699.99 so I'm still waiting for a deal. May I ask where are you going to get the Toshiba...
