I'm a big fan of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. The highest setting I could play it smoothly on my system was 1280x1024. When I installed the new Riddick demo, it ran perfectly at 1920x1200. Any ideas why there's such a difference?
CNET has a review of the XPS2. The cool part is the short video of the XPS2 that gives a good idea of its size. You can see it here:

Can anyone who bought a 9300 with the WUXGA Tru-Life screen post some pictures of your screen...especially while playing games or running some applications?
Tanx! :)
Some vendors are taking pre-orders for this new DTR notebook. It looks really nice. It's a P4 + ATI MR X800 PCIe with up to a 15.4" WUXGA, and seems to have about the same dimensions/weight as the original Inspiron XPS. The Sager is several hundred dollars less expensive than the XPS2, as well...
I cancelled my XPS2 because I found out that its screen is a glossy/hi-glare LCD. I hate those screens. But, some people told me to look into an anti-glare screen filter for the XPS2. I found just such a 17" notebook LCD screen filter from 3M. Has anyone ever used these anti-glare screen...
I downloaded it, this morning, and will try it tonight. I'm really psyched up for this game. I hope it's as good as advertised.
EDIT: I didn't see the other FEAR thread...feel free to delete this one.
Go check it out. It looks mighty impressive...

Makes me wanna sell my desktop. Maybe I will after some reviews are published...even if it is a Dell. :D
I'm looking to buy a big screen DLP LCD HDTV (46" - 50") and was curious if anyone has one. Have you ever run your PC through such a TV for gaming? Got any pics or recommendations on a DLP LCD TV? I plan on using a desktop LCD, like the Dell 2405, most of the time, but it'd be cool to play on a...
I just found this little utility that tests an LCD screen for dead pixels. It's a pretty cool program.
Check it out here...http://www.laptopshowcase.co.uk/downloads.php?id=1
I'm curious about the pros/cons of using an LCD TV as my computer monitor. The main specs of the two LCD TVs I'm considering are:
30" LCD TV
Viewable screen size 29.5" diagonal widescreen. Native/optimum resolution 1280 x 768
HDTV Ready - 480p, 1080i, 720p
PC - 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768...
I just read an article at notebookreviews.com about Dell's replacement for the 8600, called the Inspiron 6000. It's a PCI-e X300 notebook and is supposed to be released next week. Anyone know about this notebook?
I placed my order, minutes ago. I was planning on getting an M6N, but since I'm not looking for a gaming notebook, I thought the smaller, sleeker M3N would fit my needs better. If it doesn't work for me, I'll return it for an M6N. I'll post pics and a review as soon as my new little buddy...
