I have a DL380 G6 server and was going to max it out with 1TB drives and was looking at future upgrades to add on storage by replacing 1TB drives with 2TB or greater drives.

The controller is a : :SI/3ware 9690SA-4i I figured out what I needed to do which was to go to the disk management and then "rescan disks". Once I did that the system saw the new unallocated space and I was able to extend the volume.

Sorry for the short question with no details. Windows network at home w/o a domain. One server has Windows Server 2012 and the other has Windows Server 2008 R2. Both are configured as file servers. Would like one server to back-up/sync its "data" volume to the other server's volume.
