after some research, by looking at several websites that sell these, I have determined that your correct. The 4 knobs control 4 fans and the two switches control the remaining two fans.
i might be better off with a switch setup that allows me to turn them on/off instead.
I dont want them...
Do these switches control the 4 adjustable speed dials/fans or does one control the 4 fans on the dials and one switch the two (connectorless) bare wire fan connections?
I'm looking to control 4 fans on the side of my Stacker and prefer to not have them on all the time but the speed control...
I had a Chenbro Netserver case (the big giant ass cube) and used a normal atx mobo in it...
most cases have holes for mounting points to accomadate different mobo types.

Whats a TJ07?
You'll have to excuse my ignorance but for the last 6 months I've not even fired up a computer except for work purposes (to login and fix stuff remotely).
THAT alone puts me out of the technology curve by a mile... hahaha
I put everything in the case last night and...
How new electronics and components smell?
I just got my case (see other thread) and I can't stop smelling the interior...
That smell will be gone obviously soon after I get stuff put inside, similar to the New Car Smell....
I'll get some pics once I have a camera in hand and once I get everything loaded in the case.
I have nothing in the case but at a distance you can't really see inside, then again there is nothing inside to light up. I'm considering putting it on my desk here at work so i can stare at it till...
I noticed the extra fan holes on the bottom after seeing a post about the stacker.
Has anyone loaded this thing up with 120mm fans yet, including the two on the bottom?
With the two drive cage fans and the fans on the case, it would bring the total to 10 fans total.
No way that could...
My Stacker 830 just arrived at my office and you can picture the "makeing up for something else" type jokes that floated around for 15 minutes along with jokes about it being my new apartment... and after looking at the stacker in person.....
WOW it's big!
It's big enough that I can stick...
Is this sufficient to run,
gigabyte mobo
quad core 2.4
4x 500gig SATA drives
1 SATA DVD rom
8800 GT video card
and maybe 2 250gig ide drives
??
I have currently a 431 watt p/s for the mobo and drives and a seperate 5.25" drive bay power supply for the video card.
I know this...
I'm old, forgive me.
:D
A friend pointed me to a website to calculate Watts needed for the amount of stuff I'll have on it. The link had more than my 431 can provide, roughly... so I picked this up to take the load off. I was told amps were important on some of the newer cards.
??
It's not the Watts you have to look at, it's the amps. Newer cards like the juice (amps) more so than previous generations of cards.
btw: How do you like your Samsung 22" WS?
Making the o/s run smooth and fast is the main concern...
Games on occasion (i have a 360 as my main machine for gameing)
Occasional photoshop stuff with pictures
Some website design for work on occasion
Surfing the web
general stuff, nothing too crazy.
I don't mind buying 8 gigs...
It's cheap these days and I hate having to buy more of anything later... my gf will ignore a computer upgrade if she doesnt know how much it costs but later down the road in say 6 months... she wont understand upgrading again.
Is 8 gigs (4 x2gig sticks) plenty for Windows Vista and a Quad...
I'm getting ready to upgrade my pc. I havn't upgraded in a long time let alone visit a modding forum. I bought a xbox 360 3 months ago and opted to never upgrade to play games again... and here I am.
I was thinking about;
- Intel Quad Core 2.4...
look around and see if a piece didnt fall off when you pulled it out of it's socket.... check the carpet/floor around the area your working....
of coarse it could just slide in the slot without any support or retainer....
take a picture of the area the keyboard is suppose to plug into...
I say "clip" but it's not really a clip in the typicall sense.
on both sides of the place you plug it into, the "clip" sticks out a little. lift up on both sides of the retaining 'clip' is up and level... then push the plastic/wire lead into the plug and push down to secure it in place...
4,000$????
You got ripped off on your desktop...
and 3,000$ for the MAC laptop?
And if your mac is faster in everything but games and photoshop,.... then what was the point of buying it in the first place?
If all you do is type and remote login to say... work, then a 500 dollar...
Business trip..... loaner laptop from work.... movies check, email check..... games NOT!
Boring ass week in a hotel in downtown Oakland...

Who's got one and what brand, price did you pay etc...
I have a compaq x6000 on the way and need to find a bag.
The laptop has a 17" widescreen, so i'd imagine it has to be a healthy sized case..
Preferr one that rolls, as I travel on occasion.
Would like one that can hold an...
Hearing that it runs some good games at decent speeds is refreshing..
I think I'm going to order it this week..
I might get the 60gig or 80gig just to shave a small bit off the price...
sounds like a good laptop.
thanks
jake
First time in 34 years I've considered buying a laptop. I've never considered them equal to a full desktop and never thought of them as a gameing machine until now. I've been looking for a P4 processor, not a celeron or a mobile chip (dont know much about them ohter than the clock speed is...
So what do you need to join?
Characters name is "Sojourn Stormshadow" and she is a Fighter/Necro...
have one more friend buying the game tonight and I'm sure you can count him in too....
I have a 2month old but I try to play in the afternoons after work hopefully when my wife takes care...
sorry not gay I'm married..... and yes my standards are higher...
you can never have your standards too high... settleing for anything less is called failure.
I seem to remember reading on some site that it's an automotive finish (i.e. painted). My CM 201 has the panels with an automotive finish and a brushed front bezel.
The silver and black ones look stained alluminum while the blue and yellow look painted.
guess i'll find out for sure...
Just curious, even after a search that produced little results.. who's got a wavemaster.
Stock or otherwise, can you post some nice pics. I ordered the yellow/black one and was curious what if anything people have done to them.
Mine will house a 3.6ghtz p4(LGA775), dual sli EVGA-GT cards...
I asked my friend what he thought of it, at work. He said it's "mighty yellow"...
So I figured eh... go look for the blue one, then said screw it... i'm an attention whore so I turned around and ordered this one.
Should be here in a few days....
I had the original coolermaster with...
We tried that program and from what I understand it didn't work.
apparently the mobo doesnt use the typical winbond type code??
some of the programs we have used do one or two tasks but not on inclusive realtime graphical interface.
My work is basically over-clocking this brand of mobo that is located inside a notebook computer/laptop. I guess they are attempting to see at what point it overheats and determine what the fan speed is on the cpu.
We need a utility that will read;
Cpu fan speed and temperature.
Laptop...
Just ordered this mobo and a case to "upgrade" my server whcih currently resides in a shuttle sb62g2.. and I was wondering if the mobo was decent?
After looking at some expensive mobo's I decided that.... my server sits there and serves, nothing fancy.. occasionally serves games but mostly...
