Buliding on the modular idea, perhaps the whole PSU cage can be modified to have a SFX PSU and hold more hard drives.
Or even modify the cage so it just holds hard drives as some people would get a raid card and use a pico psu (they go up to 160 watts now).
Just a few ideas. :)
Whooo. The top 120mm made it in!
:)
Awesome pics. I reckon this'll look hot without the cover.
Edit : Is that a bend in the top 120mm fan mount on the corner near the power cable? Might be a trick of the light.
O damn, completely forgot about the single slot limitation. The Powercolor and Zalman will be the way to go since the Powercolor card is the cheapest card out there.
Case - Looks like you've already decided. ;) Have you thought about the Q08 though? I think it's a little bigger but it has a fan inside.
CPU - That's fine. A very good dual core.
Mobo - Arguably the best M-ITX motherboard so far.
PSU - That's fine. Seasonic has announced a fanless modular...
I flinched when I saw that picture. Nice job on it, looks great. :)
Does anyone think any Noctua coolers will fit on the H55N USB3?
I'm sure the U9B will fit. Not too sure about the U12B or the C12P
People who are arguing between the line of mainstream/gaming;
Mainstream IS gaming.
http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/?platform=pc
Most 'gamers' are using lower spec hardware. Gaming is driven by mainstream pre built computers, only a few enthusiasts actually use 'gaming' hardware...
Of course there's a future in M-ITX gaming.
This is a bit of a replay of what people said about M-ATX systems.
And also DDR2 RAM.
Everything is going to get smaller, and more powerful.
Hey Matt. Thanks for the update!
Does this mean that we'll have to wait 7 weeks till you get the prototypes?
After a quick google, I found these two;
Benchmark Reviews
Tom's Hardware
I think the table on Benchmark Reviews may be more relevant to what you need as it has the latest GPUs on it...
I guess the 240 rad'll fit with only one 120mm fan? I don't see how another 120mm fan can fit next to the PSU without widening the case but that will increase the volume.
7samurai, where is that price listed? Could someone buy it? I've been looking everywhere since release.
LinusTechTips has 3 videos on the H55-USB3 if anyone's interested.
Edit: Ah, I see now. Price is on review.
I find the H50 too loud. It's 'quiet' but there's a tiny little buzzing sound that annoys the hell outa me.
I think the U9B just MIGHT fit. Guess we won't know till someone gets the thing.
+1 to 3 USB ports. :)
Edit: I'm definitely going to buy this case so I've been thinking of how to get watercooling into there.
I thought of this;
Much like the PSU bracket/holder except it holds a 120mm fan or radiator. Makes custom watercooling (Not the H50) very possible. Just an idea, I'll...
Gigabyte has released a press release and it's on their website. Should be in stores very soon. :D
Gigabyte advertises it as a overclockable board. It'll be interesting to see what capabilities it has.
Gigabyte page
Although that's a pretty high number, it sounds about right.
DA BOX classic USD to AUD > $178
For aussie post, shipping for a 3-3.5kg (weight of Da box) parcel - to the other side of the world (used Denmark as example), is $99 express, $93 air, and $46 sea.
So if the itx case is $130...
I think late April, forgot where I read it though.
Terrible placement of the CPU socket though, I would buy it in a second if it wasn't for that.
This'll replace the DFI MI P55-T36 for sure. USB3 and there'll definitely be better BIOS support.
Edit: To answer your question OP, I think you...
I have an idea which may or not be easy to implement.
On the bottom of the case, could a little trapdoor or something of that kind be installed?
Much like the holes on motherboard trays so installing HSFs is easier. I'd probably cut a hole there when I get the case anyway.
Edit : Oh, and high...
How much would a disassembled case cost? I'm sure people here would be competent enough to put together a case with thumbscrew and such. I would definitely buy an ikea style package if it means a significant drop in price. Not to sure about everyone else. :)
That's almost 11L with 2 120mm and 2 80mm fans (Lan Gear) VS about 15L with one 180mm fan(SG07).
To me, I think it's worth the wait. I do agree that the wait has been quite long already.
Steeeeve, any information on CPU cooler clearance? :)
The thread was quite an interesting read. I do agree that the case SHOULD NOT come with a PSU or fans, allowing users to put their own and also keep prices down.
I do not think the the price of this case should exceed $120.
What will be the highest CPU cooler that can be installed once...
