I've moved away from ITX as i got a deal on some super kit and needed more grunt.
If there is room to watercool internaly then ideal but doesn't have to be a must at all.
Need to home this
Intel i7 3770K
Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB
Asus Maximus V GENE
Gigabyte 660TI OC X2 SLI...
Need a new cooler for my NAS. CPU is a Intel Pentium Processor G850 and stock coooler is noisy.
I want and need small and quite.
SCYTHE Kozuti
Scythe Shuriken Rev.B
Any others?
Can it be done?
I have a 680GTX and i7 3770K which is OC'd to a nice solid 5.1Ghz under water.
The watercooling is external. The GFX is about to go under water as well all in the same loop.
A 450w will not really be man enough for the job, so can a 600w ATX PSU be modded to fit?
So mine touched down and has just been unboxed to look over it.
It has got to get some mods so share your ideas on mods!
MODS
1 - To spray the fan frame matt black
2 - New feet
3 - Vents in the top
Wanting uber small formfactor here and PSU i need to sort, build is
i7 2600K Stock clocks, turbo is enabled
Zotac Z68
8GB 1600mhz DDR3
Scythe Kozuti
2X OCZ Agilty 3 60GB in RAID 0 (SATA)
1X 3TB 3.5'' drive (SATA)
1X Slimeine dvd/cd/rw (SATA)
Will this PSU be enough or not...
Will the Scythe Kozuti fit on the Zotac Z68?
Doesn't matter if it covers the PCI-e slot as using the HD3000.
Wanting some for stock clocks, silent, low profle but better than stock hsf
Well i got a brand new one come today from them, something different about it!
CPU is an i7 2600K
I will be using a GFX
Normal RAM (Kingston Hyper X)
So what the best to get on there then?

I personly think this is better than the ASUS or any other A75 ITX offering!!
After killing manny Zotac Z68's and 1 2600K going to avoid it. New spec is
Asus FM1 F1A75-I Deluxe Mini ITX
AMD LIano A8-3850
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB 1600MHz
OCZ Agility 3 SATA III 60GB X3 RAID0
Samsung Slimeline DVD-RW 8X
160w PicoPSU Bundle
Windows 7 Pro OEM
After...
As per the title really.
See Asus, ASRock & MSI have A75 boards out now in the UK.
The Asus is tempting with 4 SATA 6GB/s, makes me fancy upgrading with 2 more SSD's. Should make a nice fast RAID0 system with that!
Is there this miff still over the clocks on Llano?
New board came home with me on saturday. REV 0003, new BETA BIOS, New cpu that i had tested at work to find the best batch, this one did 51x stable @ 1.38v.
All setup stock no problems
Raid was picky with SSD's till i got RST on there.
Uped the multi to 45x and XMP in the ram, BOOM...
Whats your ideas for going about the smallest case possible but fitting the follwing
6870
2X 2.5'' drives
Optical drive std pc one
ITX mobo
ATX PSU (std size)
In needing to remove the stock HSF to measure them for my custom watercooling ones i happen to notice the thermal pad along the VRM was still covered with a plastic protection layer!
Clearly Zotac have sweet FA quality control or some half wit working there!
Strongly susgest others check!!
Case - Lian Li Q11B
Rads - 140-mm Magicool Slims
The Q11 has some nice cutout on the sides as stock. This question replates more the the front and top for the rad cuts as the base will not be seen so i can open her right up there.
Do i ...
1 Copy the cuts already on the sides

So it was said a 6870 aint bad and worth getting over the Intel i7 2600K's HD3000. So i did and can't argue @ £56 inv vat brand new. Howwever my case is uber small, i loves it! Just as well i am changing cooling!
Only way to fit it was remove the HSF. The stock HSF oversits the edge of the...

Fast enough i think.
Im going to give the SFF route a go. I've picked my hardwear being
6950
ITX Z68 (Zotac if they fix there oc issue or hopefully someone better comes out soon)
8 GB DDR3
2 SSD's (2.5'')
Maybe 1 3.5''
Slot loading slim drive
600w PSU
Plan is to water cool it all using an external setup...
Im tempted with the case but it's too high and i'd be running an ITX board. Got a few ideas of how to get the case smaller but clearly i want to see and need measurements. Nothing to hand currently just speculating. Anyone got a photo with just an mini-itx mobo in there?
Anyone had a go with it? I really fancy making a uber powerfull ITX build. External WC is what i had on my last full sized rig. I'd be loking at using a 2600K
Finaly gotten on with some of it. Took it to the powder coaters today, should get it back end of the week.
Mods done...
Window cut
Shortened drive bays as low as possible
Shortened motherbord tray inline with mobo
Braided front pannel cables
Braided and then plated mains cable...
