So I haven't kept up with this thread for a while. My initial build in the Sentry was basically just a transplant of the PC I had a the time, and I am finally looking to upgrade. I know early on there were some concerns about space or heat issues with M.2 SSD's mounted on the underside of...
Mine (shipped to US)sat without any update and no contact from usps for about 30 days from the point it was marked as having left Poland. I got it about 32 days after that date.
Finally got a chance to build out my case(First shipment - US). A few notes before I get to the pics. While I would have liked to throw some of the latest and greatest hardware in, it was a bit out of my budget, so I transplanted my CPU, Graphics Card, and RAM from my current build, plus a new...
Yes, I've had the chance to sort through the full box now, everything is intact and the packaging did its job despite the minor external dents and tears (y). Waiting on a little more comfortable weather (its 94F/34C here today) to get building!
Got no notification from either carrier other than the USPS guy showing up at my door. Other than some rips on the plastic wrap, the box itself was intact to the touch(They wont let you open anything before signing). Will post more info and some pics if needed shortly.
It should be noted that...
I asked before but i think it was lost at the end of the page.
Can any 600T owners send me pictures of what the side panels look like on the inner side.
Yeah, their SATA power connectors are a bit of a pain.
Is that an adapter you have going to your USB 3.0 on the back so that the front side one works, is the front side one set up with a usb3.0 pin header? Basicaly what does the hookup for the front side USB 3.0 port look like
Thanks for the feedback, i was looking at the product page for the Coolermaster on newegg, is the bottom really finished like that? With the heatpipes interlaced with the block?
This just seems unusual to me, and how would you recommend i apply thermal? Do i want to do the usual C2D method with...
Hey all, i recently browsed newegg and a few other sites looking for a good fan for my PC build. I came out with more questions than answers.
I have a Intel C2D E8400 on stock cooling right now. Im looking to upgrade as the stock cooler is a piece of crap.
I was looking into CoolerMasters...
Yeah man that thing looks amazing, and yeah, any metal surface should hold out. Even just having the power supply grounded would be fine, i only mentioned it as something to think about. I always try to overprotect my technology
id say run an additional cable with the power lines from the PSU, and just attach that line to the housing of the PSU, that would make it a ground line, cause most PSU's have the ground wire from the outlet attached to the housing. then just put a standoff on your motherboard, and attach the...
Just a thought but you may want to look into a way of grounding the unit. Having the PSU outside of the case eliminates your normal grounding element. And considering you have added a lot of stuff to an otherwise small enclosure and there seems to be a lot of custom wiring.
I followed the one on xbox scene. But no one there did the double or triple color set up.
if you post there a lot and have permission to link to another website. you can go ahead and link to my post if you want. but only on xbox scene cause i did get some good pointers from there.
@J-Will
That was the original plan but im looking into a complete new method now.
@OOPS
I looked into that and it seems that a lot of people destroyed the controller with boiling water.
They arent strong enough plastic to hold up to the heat.
Yeah sorry I didnt get these up sooner. I have been occupied with other things.
First off here is the last picture of it clean, and with all the parts that were to receive color assembled.
Here are some pics of it with the glue on before dyeing it.
Here is a pic from the process...
Ill post the pics up later. Black should be a decent attempt. Just make sure to use a good amount of dye so you get a full black to it.
One of the problems with using dyes on these controllers is that is makes all the imperfections show up. Even the ones there from the mold at M$. Honestly, i...
So quick update. So far major failure, then again im being harsh on myself.
My method to get the parts i wanted to stay white and then the parts i wanted to remain a lesser shade of purple was to use hot glue to cover them. This is an idea i got from watching a friend color his lacrosse stick...
Ok just got back from my supply run. Got all of what I need together, pictured below.
I got the liquid dye as it seems to yeild better results than the powder does with the 360 controller. An old coffee tin will serve as my dyeing vat. Some string, mixing stick, and rubber gloves to help make...
Thanks for the interest, and believe it or not the color scheme was very complicated.
It was mostly me putting down the pattern i saw in my head. Then it became so much more.
Each color end where it does for a specific reason. I tried to keep areas that had words or letters molded into the...
Ok so thats a working title for the time being.
As some of you may or may not know the Xbox 360 has some nasty problems with the way Microsoft attaches the heat sinks to the CPU and GPU in the unit and this leads to the dreaded "Red Ring of Death" or lesser know E74 error (Single red light)...
im interested to see how this turns out, i have plans to do some visual mods to my Dell laptop some point in the near future.
Let me know what kinda paints you use primer/color/clear and if you like the way they turn out.
So, between school, work new ISP/Cable provider and a whole slew of other things that ive had to do over the past few months, id like to think i can finally bring this project to a close fairly soon.
New Plans:
-I had a class in school this past semester where i learned a little bit more...
I got a quick question to run by you all. I know how the FSB works with Intel based processors but have found little information on the AMD ones. The simple question is, what is the motherboard/CPU realtion? Like for the Athlon 64 X2 5600 which runs at 2000Mhz System Bus. What is the requirement...
@JDM Thanks for the info and the offer but i would prefer to buy newer ones. Only cause fans do have a shelf life, the ones i have are currently going to hell, so i am really in the market for new one, thanks anyway.
@Warlord. Thanks for the post, i saw all those and didnt see anything that...
