Ha! ASUS, ASUS, ASUS. Ever since I discovered their motherboards stability (many years ago) I don't buy anyone else's. The enemy of any component is heat. DirectCU....you betcha.

many games are optimized for Nvidia. Nvidia cards seem to score better. I'm doing OK W/ AMD 6970 tho

this is totally believable. I worked for one of the big Home Depot improve stores years ago and they totally push you to sell extended warranties, and their credit cards. and yes, write ups for not getting the numbers. bothers the shnot out of me to be handing the clerk a card and they go 'do...

Yeah, sounds like PS is flaky, or vidcard is overheating quick. Airflow in case good? Mistake to buy less than 500W, amps on the 12V rail is critical too. IMHO

OK, call me n00b, but just got an EVGA gtx 260, there is a small connection port on top of card and cable like a sound-out of DVD player. Wass iss?

i just picked up a BFG 550W for $69 US at Fry's. works great. The critical issue is the amperage output on the 12V rail, if i'm not mistaken.
