Hi!
My music collection is a mess, and I was wondering what else other than TuneUp is available to fix my good old mp3's without using products from the evil fruit empire.
Thanks!

Does anyone know of a fan controller with temp probes that is still available? More fans the better (I have 8 right now). Most of my google-ing comes up with dead links.
I'm not interested in a Digidoc because of noise, I want temp-variable speed. I'm also not after a multifunction panel...
I'm trying to get a digital camera for my sister. The problem being, every low-end digicam that I've played with has a fairly substantial delay before snapping the shot. Since she is dealing with small, rapidly moving objects (preschoolers) this doesn't work very well.
Any suggestions for a...
I'm trying to get a friends machine up and running with his Frys-special PC Chips M825G v9.2 and Sempron chip (2200+?).
The board doesn't come with a Sempron supporting BIOS to start, so a flash was required. Without the flash the chip is recognized as a AthlonMP 1050MHz. This is consistent...
The place I run the helpdesk for uses lots of USB to serial adapters. IConcept or IConcepts, marketed for Palms. They work pretty reliably for interfacing with the equipment hereabouts.
Does anyone know of a company that manufactures a single-height USB 2.0 card? Without the big piece hanging off the edge of the machine? Something that I can leave in when I put my T30 into the bag.
Thanks in advance!
Running W2k3 on a duallie P3 750. I just was too dense to pick up 2 120gb maxtors when they were super cheap, so I'm trying to work with what I've got.
Will these softwares back up in-use files as well? Is there a restart involved?
I remember (now) that the USB options come with one-touch software, but I havn't had any experience with that option.
Thank you for the assistance
What would be the best way to back up a home RAID array on a budget...120gb raid1 array?
I was thinking about a 120gb external USB drive...that's the only way I could see to have sufficient off-line storage for a decent backup. Don't have enough cash for a tape drive and tapes (eek!)
Would...
I'll pitch him both the XP setup and the A64 setup. I think he'll be ok with it. The only chokepoint that I really see with either is the vid card, but I can set him up with a new one later if he can afford it.
I know, a contridiction in terms, but I gave the guy a quote with what a mid-range build would cost and he about died from the stickershock.
Here's a build with prices, mostly from Newegg. Would this run well enough? Especially for someone who is a new gamer? This does at least hit the...
I swore that I'd never pay more than $200 for any pc part after my last attempt to get the bleeding edge. Stuck permanently in the mid-range...but even with trying to keep up with the apex of the bell curve I bet I spend a lot less than most of ya!
This issue was finally resolved by running MSI liveupdate 3 to update the VGA bios and install the latest driver from MSI. No issue now.
I still question whether this issue is caused by either the combination of the latest Nvidia driver with this particular MSI 5700 card, or by the Omega...
XP Pro, still running SP1
Direct X 9.0c
I have had similar problems on my other system, same vid card, OS and drivers, but all other hardware is different. That issue was on City of Heros, and solved by installing the Nvidia drivers.
I have just started to play D3 on a new P4 3ghz w/ 512mb GF5700.
When I hit certain angles in the game, I get a horizontal black line, 2 inches wide on a 21" monitor, moving up and down the screen. Since these certain angles are something like HALF of the time...it renders the game...
We set him up with a Gigabyte K8 NS Pro. Havn't had time to do much testing, but looks like a nice board. Definitely a nice set of extras.
Also got a A64 2800+. Using that stock HSF...but what is that TIM that they have on the bottom? It's not standard tape, and it's softer than most of the...
Aren't there still some hardware and software compatibilty issues with the Athlon64's? And besides, what is the real ETA of any 64bit desktop software?
I'm helping one of my mates build (see: I'm building) a new system. What socket is AMD on right now? Is it even worth it for a gaming box to use a A64? Or is the XP really still the processor of choice?
Thanks
Hello,
I am trying to make a pretty flexible HTPC design, one allowing a maximum of video outputs. Using a AIW 9600 Pro, how can I get HD15, Composite, S-Video, and Component outputs? Not all have to work at once.
I know that the 9600 Pro has dual VGA, is it possible to leave one VGA open...
Which of the current All-In-Wonder chips is running coolest?
I seem to recall that the 9600 runs pretty cool, which I would assume means that the 9200 does.
I'm looking for an AIW card to run in a quiet HTPC. Mostly passive cooling, if not fully so.
Thanks!
Tiny, quiet, highly integrated. Actually not a bad bargain all around. Only thing they really can't do is gaming. Since I'm waffling between Home Theatre PC and home domain controller, oomph isn't a big issue. Heck my Domain, Exchange, FTP, DNS, and File server are running quite well on a K6-2 550.
Got a bite off of LinITX.org forums: http://www.idotpc.com/TheStore/Peripheral/motherboard/default_itx1.asp?Cate.id=5
All flavors of the mini-itx boards, including p4 models.
Cheers!
Does anyone know where the 12000 might be on sale in the states? All of the retailers that I can find are in the UK or Aussie. And the shipping charges make my wallet hurt.
