this is where i get stuck, i disabled HDR, uninstalled the HDR calibration app, set it to 60Hz, no NightLight or RTSS running but it still complains
anything you had to disable?
you can check it in the service menu
Ordered my A4 v4 at Caseking w/ the black ridge on 4/8/2019 and 3 weeks later its still nowhere to be seen :|
am i stuck between the old and new v4.1 batch maybe?
I ordered the AOC (and its VA brother) for different builds i did for friends.
Its a great bang for the buck monitor, image looks very pleasing. Its funny that all the 1440p 32" monitors seem to be cheaper than the 27", no idea why
Scaling is not an issue for movies imo, iw atch 1080p on my...
The U2412M is ancient
There is the Dell U2415 (which never got a newer successor iirc) or the recently released BenQ SW240 (which is pretty expensive 'tho because it is geard towards color critical work) and AOC I2460PXQU and the more modern looking AOC X24P1.
At least here (germany) the...
i can't send you a pm/start a conversation either, maybe because your post count is too low?
Anyway, i am located in northern bavaria and was thinking about 150€
With a PS4 you are pretty much stuck to 1080/60Hz monitors and there are tons of them.
Something from NEC or EIZO is way overkill imho, DELL has some nice offerings with little to no overshoot/ghosting and low input lag and not too aggressive anti glare coating and have good color accuracy out...
oh man, sorry for that <.<
I usuually got a "out of range" message when trying to apply the resolution and after 15 seconds it would just revert back to default
You can simply add a custom resolution within the nvidia control panel or use this handy tool to add resolutions when using an amd gpu.
It won't damage your screen.
Basically all you do is add resolutions like 2560x1440@70Hz, 75, 80 etc. and see if the monitor accepts it and if it does, test...
if there ever will be (there never will be :( ) a 2560x1440 version of the Eizo FG2421 without all the QC issues it will be mine and i can retire my fw900
Having to separate cables and using an 8 pin connector from each is the better way to go than a breakout cable, so yes, that't the best way to connect your gpu.
I don't think the card really gets much benefit from the additional power from the 8 instead of 6pin connector, maxwell cards are...
Pretty sure small to medium is something like 2" for smartwatches to, maybe maximum of 10 or 12" for tablets.
I don't see pc monitors based on OLED for a long time (maybe never?)
haha, im in the exact same position. qnix 2710 dvi.only and fw900.
Not gonna deal with active adapters which are expensive and not always working 100%
If AIB designs will not feature DVI (have to use DP to VGA already with my r9 290x)
i'll get the 980 TI
ok, those slides and graphs with ridiculous y-axis scaling are pretty common in those presentations but holy shit AMD
in regards to retarded slides you just hit it out of the park, this is borderline trolling!
that is by design unfortunately and a serious drawback, especially when one of the reasons for this monitor is its contrast.
Since it was made with graphic design work/cad in mind, the phosphor has a longer decay time than other CRTs.
Nothing you can do about it really, maybe try playing around...
and if they hit 200Hz so what? They have still slow pixel transition times and sample-and-hold motion blur.
Strobed at 85Hz would be already much clearer
some are baked onto the glass (like the sony 520) and can't be removed.
Otherwise, yeah, i think they are the same in that regard. Just peel them off.
The image quality is definitely better but looking back, i think i wouldn't remove mine again.
It is just completely unusable with any...
I have one and when i bought it it was a great deal (about a year ago).
But 1440p monitors have come down in price and honestly, today i would rather buy the DELL u2515h.
Same resolution, only 2" smaller and has a much better build quality/design and isn't nearly as prone to backlightbleed or...
I think this is because of PWM which the DELL most likely uses.
Some cameras can detect the flickering, give it a try with different shutter speeds maybe?
Edit: The reason for my assumption
I had the same issue for the longest time. Because windows sees the maximum resolution as the recommended, it will always scale the game to 2304x1440 which is completely pointless.
I always made sure to set the refresh rate to 85 in games, either via ingame menu (sadly, not many games have that...
Thanks for your great posts and pics etienne51, enjoy reading them :)
This really makes me want to start fiddling with my fw900 again but i can't seem to find any good deals on ebay on a dtp94 and i can't run 1920x1200@85Hz anyway right now and its all just so time consuming. I did the WinDAS...
I bought a BNC-DVI cable from ebay, it was like 15 but it is massive and in terms of picture quality it looks the same as the included vga cable from sony.
Unfortunately i can't find the ebay link anymore but there are cheaper, good quality cables on there
The QNIX CAN be a good screen, but they are likely to have flaws like backlightbleed, banding and there's gamma shift when overclocking. For the price i would go with the ASUS
(i have a qnix 2710 and a friend the Asus PB278Q, for the normal retail price of the ASUS i wouldn't recommend it, but...
It is possible but only a fraction of TVs support proper 120Hz input from pc i think.
There's a nice guide here
http://www.blurbusters.com/overclock/120hz-pc-to-tv/
I am using the pixel clock patcher since i got my Sony 2 years ago (and for my LCD to "overclock" it to 96Hz) but it doesn't change anything. It still doesn't show up.
soooo, the adaptor arrived today and well....i can't say i'm surprised but i was hoping for more.
It maxes out at 179Mhz; anything beyond that pixel clock isn't shown in the windows resolution settings. The image itself still looks just as good as it did on my hd 7870 with native DVI-I and it...
I fear that even the 380(x) won't have it. If they just rename the hawaii chip they won't add a ramdac and if they designe a new chip they most likely won't include it again. We'll probably only find it on lower end cards from now on, honestly i'm very suprised that it's still around with the...
