my card is not a new revision of the lightning! it's the first released ;) to hit 1100mhz i only add spacers in order to improve gpu contact! Techpowerup reported this issue...

no pb to clock mine! all on air my lightning only needs 1.174v to hit 1000/1350 and 1.299v to hit 1100/1350: the only thing needed: spacers for perfect gpu contact with the heatsink

just a 120mm blowing over the vrm, that's all! & gpu fans @80% otherwise nothing changed on my V1 blowers...those gigabyte & asus cards do not dissipate much heat compared to my sapphire 5770 V1 which clocks higher & runs up to 68°C max ...

keep tweaking my rig... those little cards are a nice evolution of the hd4770 (at last a descent stock cooling & 1gb of rams)

don't worry for me, if i needed a 24" this would be done long ago... So hd57xx fit perfectly for my rez!

Instead of an HD5770 CF, why not coupling an HD5770 with an nvidia card for physX? a nice upgrade without any cost in my case!:) The card alone:

this soft is designed for L6788A controller which those specifics cards do not have...

i agree with Garrett! msi afterburner rocks...less heavy in particular, works with all reference hd5770 cards & does not need to flash the video card!!!!! [email protected]

thxs garrett_wu & unwinder! this soft works great with generic hd5770! It even works flawlessly under xp while for some reason smartdoctor is ineffective even if flashes w/ asus bios!!!;)

Even though not a card for high rez which explain its unsuccess among a wide range of people, This card works perfectly up to 1680x1050! 40nm really helps for oc & once flashed w/asus eah5770 bios : nice improvement indeed! :) A good low end card...

Very nice review Brent! :) This card is perfect for an HTPC:very efficient blower heatsink, low power consumption, low heat dissipation, short length , good ocing potential & works great up to 1680x1050....And the price will drop soon! What else...

I know the horse power of my hd4890 (Apparently you did not see my hd4890@1000/1200??? :rolleyes:) but the hd5770 w/voltage tweak mod is quite sufficient for my EIZO 20"...

for the other similar posts: 20" EIZO LCD so 1680x1050 RIGHT??? limited by what , i also have a powerfull hd4890 but too power hungry & useless for my 20" by now...

READ correctly, I'm using high end 20" EIZO LCD: no bottleneck at this resolution... I never ignore that the 128bit bus is a limiting factor for higher rez...Don't make me say what i did not! ;)
