The bezel on the recently announced Asus LX341 looks a lot better for pretty much the same specs: IPS, G-Sync, 34" curved, and high refresh rate. Interesting that Asus is releasing two competing products like that.
I'm apprehensive about going for ultra-wide resolutions because Dota 2 doesn't support 21:9 resolutions. Which is quite a shame, to be honest; it's 2015 and there are so many good 21:9 displays on the market.
I'm thinking of going with the following:
- 1 * 40" Samsung JU7100 (main display @ 4k, 110 PPI)
- 1 * 27" Dell U2715H (side display @ 1440p, 109 PPI)
One reason for picking those two are that they have fairly similar PPI so moving windows from one to another won't require adjusting my eyes to...
Could someone share their experience with screen burn-in? Could I leave this monitor on for hours with no screen saver, without risking burn-in of the start menu in Windows 10?
And what if I play a game with a UI element always in a certain part of the screen (such as Dota2 or WoW): would that...
Interesting @ LSR305; I'll check those out. Desk space is not an issue; I was thinking of getting floor stands for the speakers anyways, so the speakers won't take up space on my desk.
Is there something markedly better than the LSR305, up to say $1k for a pair? I'm happy with the SVS as my...
What am I looking for? Speakers and sub

I already own a 30" monitor at 2560 * 1600 resolution. I am thinking of getting a second monitor to use in either landscape or portrait mode (so far undecided) on the side. The price delta between a 1440p IPS panel and a 1600p IPS panel is significant, so if I can make do with a 27" monitor, I'd...
The whole point of this thread was to seek help as someone who wasn't informed about the impact of cores and the difference between Kepler GK110 and its predecessors. I have now armed myself with better knowledge after further reading.
I don't think your condescending tone was necessary...
Further reading on the web revealed that apparently a GTX 780 uses a different GPU, and is based on the GK110 which is considerably faster than the one the GTX 770 uses.
Which of the GTX 780 series cards listed here would be best for 2560 x 1600 gaming on ultra settings at 60fps? If I am...
$439 on Amazon:

Could you please say why you think a 780 might be a better buy? See my comment quoted below:
Also it's confusing that all the 780 series cards have a lower clock speeds and memory clock, and are yet considered superior and priced higher than the 770 series. What makes the 780 better?
I have an i7 2600K for the CPU which seems to handle WoW and Starcraft 2 fine even in intense scenarios...
