    Three monitors on a 6850

Awesome, thanks. Just wasn't sure about 3 different resolutions and didn't want to buy an adapter to have it not work in the end.

    Three monitors on a 6850

Heyo, debated posting this here or in the displays section, but I was looking for some insight before I go drop money on something that may or may not work. So I currently have my TV (1920x1200) hooked up via HDMI and my computer monitor (1920x1080) hooked up to via DVI on my ATI 6850. I want...

Advice on good, inexpensive Heatsink for X4 940

Thanks for the find, seems to be a step up for a good price, and the local shop has it for the same price as the egg, cool stuff.

Advice on good, inexpensive Heatsink for X4 940

Any suggestions? I have the Arctic Cooler Pro for my Socket 775 e5400, and I think it keeps temps down. I see $30 on Newegg for one that fits this socket. I was wondering if on Newegg, or anywhere really, there was a good deal on a heatsink+fan that is under $30 and just as good or better than...

    Christmas upgrades: GPU or other

Damn, was only able to get my current proc to 3.3, it won't even POST with any combination of voltage fsb and multiplier above that.

    Christmas upgrades: GPU or other

I've been meaning to up that for a year now... Good call, I guess I just haven't felt like making sure it's stable before I wipe everyone in WoW on an unstable clock.

    Christmas upgrades: GPU or other

Thanks for the input. WoW is a strange beast, at my low resolution I can pretty much play whatever I want with decent settings, except WoW in a populated area. The engine seems to be coded horribly, but at the same time I do have some friends with nicer computers who don't suffer from some of...

    Christmas upgrades: GPU or other

My current specs that I'm gaming on are as follows (they are pretty not-HARD, but I've got college loans and stuff these days) Intel e5300 @3.2ghz 4GB ddr2 RAM HD 4830 WD 640gb hdd The brand escapes me, but a nice brand 650w psu (so it shouldn't be a limiting factor here) 19" 1440x900...

Component in to DVI. Can I use this little TV as a second monitor?

Sorry to bump. I got it and it works... well? Videos look fine on it. I admit to watching Mythbusters and running around on WoW earlier. However, I cannot for the life of me get Windows 7 to let me put this thing in its native resolution (480x234). I tried Powerstrip. I tried adding a...

Component in to DVI. Can I use this little TV as a second monitor?

Ya, I am looking right at that as I type this. I was just a little confused because one of my previous cards had the actual DVI/Component dongle. That's cool though that this can do it too. Once again thanks a bunch. Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays whichever you prefer.

Component in to DVI. Can I use this little TV as a second monitor?

Thanks a bunch to everyone in this thread. I'm pretty worthless when it comes to audio/video.

Component in to DVI. Can I use this little TV as a second monitor?

So I guess I lied about last question then. I found my box, but the dongle is mysteriously absent. I do however have the yellow small adapter that I can't identify and what appears to be an S-video to component short cable (the cable linked in Zepher's post, the first picture).

Component in to DVI. Can I use this little TV as a second monitor?

Yes it has the S-video in the middle. I can try and find the box. I left it at home when I went back to college so who knows what my mother did with it. I probably have a dongle somewhere. I remember having one from an old video card too. And I just checked my Newegg order history and I have...

Component in to DVI. Can I use this little TV as a second monitor?

I have a Sapphire HD4830 at the moment. This is it I believe http://www1.sapphiretech.com/us/products/products_overview.php?gpid=261

Component in to DVI. Can I use this little TV as a second monitor?

I'm pretty sure my old 6600gt had a dvi/component adapter. My current 4830 came with a dvi/hdmi converter and I'm pretty sure that's it. In the case of the dongle is the video card itself doing the transcoding or what? I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to video signal.
