NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

My SX600-G makes a whining noise when the computer's in Sleep mode. Is it possible to raise the feet by at least an inch? If I prop up the case by about that much my GPU temps drop by 3 degrees. But it looks odd to have it propped up on a random video card adapter I had laying around.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

It's the video card from my other desktop, I just swap it in because it's too expensive to get more than one of. The temps are about equivalent on the video card to my other case (but it's cramped there too, it peaks at 79-80 C while gaming in both). I can put a Scythe 120mm Slim fan on the...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Hi guys, I got a question. I have the 600W SFX PSU from Silverstone. Is the vent supposed to be pointed to the inside? It's heating up the inside, and the hard drive which is mounted in front of it is getting hot to the touch. Here's a picture of other people's builds (different PSU I...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

There's probably some hot air from the GPU being spread around as it's not a blower type (Zotac Amp GTX 680) but I can feel it blowing hot air out the vent in the back.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

One thing I noticed is my hard drive seems to be pretty hot to the touch. It's mounted in the hard drive cage. I can't check the temperature because it's in a RAID array. I don't know if that's normal or what.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I actually wound up using none. The temperatures stay cool and the bottom has enough holes to allow the graphics card to suck up a lot of air on its own. The CPU I used (i5-4590S) stays especially cool (doesn't go over 60 C when gaming). I had bought two 120mm Scythe Slipstream Slim fans but...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Finally assembled mine. Used the SFX 600W power supply, ASRock H97M-ITX, Zotac Amp GTX 680, Core i5-4590S with Cooler Master GeminII M4 heatsink/fan and 2x4GB G.Skill Eco (1.35v) DDR3-1600 ram. 3.5" WD 2TB Black hard drive mounted in cage with a 2.5" SSD for caching mounted on the front. I...

NewEgg has $9 off with promotional code of the ASRock H97M-ITX board, plus $10 mail in rebate so that's $70.99 for a H97 chipset mini-ITX motherboard.

NewEgg got that Silverstone SFX 600W PSU back in stock finally. Too bad their Visa Checkout discount has already ended. I bought one before they go out of stock again.

    Best air cooler under 400g?

Yeah, I'm looking at that one now. Since the CPU I will be using is an i5-4590S (65W TDP), I might still go with the GeminII M4. I intend to transport my SFF system a lot so the lighter heatsink sounds safer.

    Best air cooler under 400g?

The 212 EVO is listed as 580g on NewEgg.

    Best air cooler under 400g?

That's where I found the GeminII M4 :) The rest look like they'd cool worse than it.

    Best air cooler under 400g?

NT-06 PRO is 700g with fan and the Noctua is 800-1000g with fan. The thread says "under 400g".
