It was right around 50/50 for quite a while, IIRC. More recently, it's shifted away from ODD models, but it's still surprisingly high.Waha or Necere, do you have rough figures showing the split in sales between ODD / no ODD Ncase M1s?

But given that the parts already exist for the M1, why would you remove this feature? It just seems perverse.
My point is that people can already chose a panel without ODD slot, should they so wish, and I don't think the slot spoils the aesthetics of the case in any event. I take the point about logistics, but it seems a bit late in the day to worry about that when you've been offering this option for the past four years (or however long it's been). To actively remove the choice now seems silly.
The ODD slot on the M1 panel looks out of place. So for a better look.
Exactly. Also, it was a bit annoying to pay extra for the no-ODD top panel back in the original crowdfunder. Should have been the other way around - the ODD peeps paying extra (but I know, ODD haters like me were in the minority back then, and most probably just didn't care).
I respectfully disagree.
I use my optical drives all the time on both of my M1 computers. In fact, I wouldn't have bought one if it wasn't ODD capable. The clean, symmetric slot fits perfectly with the M1's minimalist appearance.
Thanks for your post, but I did read what was written, so your snippy tone seems a bit unnecessary. That's 190mm long, which is too long for this case. 150mm only.Came pass this PSU, seems reasonably priced.
Could even tag along with customised cables when packed into the case.

Yay! Been refreshing this thread every day. Is this a partial redesign?
I'm not really sure the window is worth the loss in airflow. If that's where the 2.5 inch drive cage area is, sure, but otherwise, that's space for fans to breathe.
I vote half window. I need to hide those ugly Noctua fans.
custom BLACK Noctua Fans, shouldn't be too bad. I just have to buy 5000 of them
Damn. Why so many?
Are the fans over the GPU full width or slim?
sorry if I missed this before - but is there the ability to install an IR sensor to the inside/front of this case?
... maybe I should just buy a NUC
I'll take a look the IR modules available.
I can make a hole in the front panel to make it work
Why not use something like the LIRC or simply an CEC-Adapter from Pulse-Eight?Thanks! Although it looks like motherboards with CIR headers have pretty much become a thing of the past.

Here are some prototype pics. Due to new environment regulations, most of the anodizing factories are shutting down. I'm currently on a waitlist for anodizing.
Looking forward to the next Ncase to come out. Not sure what it will be with all the current projects in limbo, but it's good to see some progress nevertheless. Almost pulled the trigger on a HTPC case this weekend, so this one in particular has my interest.
I can make this case happen, it's up to you guys to convince Necere.
On my end, both my concept, and his concept, can be ready by Q1 2018.
ughh I have been anxiously waiting for any news on this case until i recently stumbled across a post necere made on another forum which convinced me for whatever reason he was not interested.I can make this case happen, it's up to you guys to convince Necere.

How much money do I need to send Necere to convince him?
After you have a design and accurate cad file to send to a manufacturer and render what else is left to be done? How for along is this project can someone please educate me
seriously whatever it takes
Compelling case. Man would love a white/wood case.
