Scorching HOT ---------> XFX Speedster SWFT319 ,Radeon™ RX 6800 $429.99 on Amazon

MSI Gaming X was $399 before it went out of stock... so I wouldn't say lowest it will go.

Also rather have the MERC319 instead... SWFT is lowest teir... not that this isn't a good deal...just saying 🤪

But on that note...yeah...6000 series beginning to slowly dwindle stock... grab em while u can 🤣🤣

Gigabyte 7800 XT Gaming OC was $456 yesterday, after Zip pay promo, at Newegg.
True, but this deal is more for people who already have money in their Amazon account from gift cards, credit card perks, etc.

i need a new video card, something better than a 3070 and i was eyeing a 6800 xt but watching the prices trickle down I am definitely going to wait for BF/xmas deals.

That's a good choice. It is a upgrade and should be hitting around the 375 mark I would imagine during the holiday deals.

That's more of a side grade, especially in rt and Dlss.

Would this make a big difference over a 1080TI? Or roughly the same?
Without looking it up, I'm guessing around the same performance or maybe 5-10% faster at most. Also +5GB VRAM. But I don't think it's worth upgrading to from a 1080ti.

My logic is based around current gen consoles that are based around a 6700/6700XT for PS5/XSX, which have performed close to a 2070/2080, or 1080ti. The 2080 was about the same performance as a 1080ti when it launched as well.

That graph Randall posted says the 2080 is ~6-11% faster than the 1080ti though, so I guess drivers and games matured for the more current cards. AMD has gained a lot of performance via driver updates as well on RDNA 2 GPUs, so it seems the gap is much bigger now than it used to be.

Stop. The gap was never that small. The 5700 XT was already the equal of the 1080 Ti.

Current price is $369 (After $10 coupon)

A perfect model for BF discounting. $330? Wouldn't be surprised.

EDIT: But I suspect it will be another brand that offers the lower price.
