True, but this deal is more for people who already have money in their Amazon account from gift cards, credit card perks, etc.Gigabyte 7800 XT Gaming OC was $456 yesterday, after Zip pay promo, at Newegg.
That's a good choice. It is a upgrade and should be hitting around the 375 mark I would imagine during the holiday deals.i need a new video card, something better than a 3070 and i was eyeing a 6800 xt but watching the prices trickle down I am definitely going to wait for BF/xmas deals.
That's more of a side grade, especially in rt and Dlss.i need a new video card, something better than a 3070 and i was eyeing a 6800 xt but watching the prices trickle down I am definitely going to wait for BF/xmas deals.

Without looking it up, I'm guessing around the same performance or maybe 5-10% faster at most. Also +5GB VRAM. But I don't think it's worth upgrading to from a 1080ti.Would this make a big difference over a 1080TI? Or roughly the same?
Big leap, probably around 30-50% https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-radeon-rx-6800/30.htmlWould this make a big difference over a 1080TI? Or roughly the same?

My logic is based around current gen consoles that are based around a 6700/6700XT for PS5/XSX, which have performed close to a 2070/2080, or 1080ti. The 2080 was about the same performance as a 1080ti when it launched as well.
Stop. The gap was never that small. The 5700 XT was already the equal of the 1080 Ti.My logic is based around current gen consoles that are based around a 6700/6700XT for PS5/XSX, which have performed close to a 2070/2080, or 1080ti. That graph Randall posted says the 2080 is ~6-11% faster than the 1080ti though, so I guess drivers and games matured for the more current cards. AMD has gained a lot of performance via driver updates as well on RDNA 2 GPUs, so it seems the gap is much bigger now than it used to be.
Stop? Lol, we're talking about video games here.. Not that serious bro. My mistake..Stop. The gap was never that small. The 5700 XT was already the equal of the 1080 Ti.
You're talking to an AMD fan... It's always serious business when making revisionist history to defend their charitable foundation.Stop? Lol, we're talking about video games here.. Not that serious bro. My mistake..
6800xt $100 more. Feel like I've been debating this forever. Doesn't appear to be going any lower than this.Bump-necroing the thread because Amazon has it down to $379.99, which can be lowered to $369.99 after clicking an on-page coupon.
A perfect model for BF discounting. $330? Wouldn't be surprised.Current price is $369 (After $10 coupon)
