So, I'm lining up a new build (CPU, board, RAM, M.2s anyway)
RAM coming down to:
https://www.pccasegear.com/products/37884
or
https://www.pccasegear.com/products/42558
Basically 16GB 3200mhz C14 vs C16.
The issue being there's a whole 100 dollar difference in AUD between the two. Is it REALLY worth it for the C14? Will I notice it? I do like the idea of the faster RAM just 'because', but finding it hard to justify such a large price difference...
Rest of the potentially planned build:
2600 or 2600x (I really can't be bothered OC'ing, but the 2600x is in the same boat as above, a solid 80 bucks more expensive than the non-x)
Asus B450i board
Samsung 970 Evo 250GB NVME + AData SX6000 NVME (Ncase M1 build, trying to remove all extra cabling, so dual M.2's is the goal).
I'm at 1440p60hz if it makes a difference, and I'd never drop below 1440p, and next monitor would be 144hz (ideally).
Any suggestions? Will be re-using Noctua D9L or potentially grabbing the U9S (probably not required), GTX 1070 PSU and case obviously.
Update: pulled the trigger on a 2600 due to a 20% off sale atm. Not the lowest price it's been but it's a good price nonetheless.
Also I remembered I have 8GB of DDR4 2400mhz that i can use to tie me over until i save up the extra for C14?? Might be another option.
