Everything else they've done have been, IMO, really good. PCF is one of the few developers who's games I'd buy on launch before reviews.Read they have 200 people working on the game with the current drought of games in 2020 2021 hoping for the best. Looks like the took Gears of War but they made it good.
Yes, this doesn't look anything like the first gameplay demos that were released last year. I was actually starting to get interested in it until this latest demo came out. Now it really does look like they're just ripping off everything else. Looks a lot like Anthem without the flying to me.That's the problem, that it looks like a mix and match of various other games, Anthem, Destiny, Fortnite. The reveal trailer suggested some gritty dark stuff, instead it is as colorful as a children's picture book. With flashy armors that look shiny and brand new off the produtcion line with RGB lighting and ASUS Aura, LOL.
I want to be excited but nothing jumps out to me in the I want this category. Still slow action wise (for me) and on the surface just another bullet sponge game. I guess it may look slow due to the 3rd party view, which I personally don't like.Sleeping under a rock I suppose. Demo coming out in around 2 weeks or so. Little fan fare here on Hardforum. Strange, this game looks great and really hope when it comes out we don't have another CyberPunk issue on our hands.
Eagerly awaiting....

Demo out on the 25th of February.
Hope the game is good had it preordered for months.
pretty substantial content for a demo...this game is flying under the radar...
Probably because it looks like an even more generic live service shooter than Destiny....the fact that Square completely botched the Avengers game doesn't help either.
the publisher doesn't matter as much as the developer...People Can Fly is pretty solid...Crystal Dynamics also had a lot of good will built prior to that Avengers game due to the Tomb Raider series but I still think they are an excellent developer
People Can Fly is definitely not trying to invent something new with Outriders but if they make a good Destiny 2 clone then that's all that matters...plus I like how PC seems to have been the lead platform during development
no one was playing bullet storm for the story bro :OThe publisher controls the purse strings, they absolutely do matter in terms of rushing out half baked turds to market or dictating game design (e.g. monetisation and scummy microtransactions).
Also I don't know why anyone would put People Can Fly on a pedestal, their most notable game (I am talking about Bullet Storm) was pretty dull story wise and didn't make very good use of the whip mechanic which got old half way through the game. As for their work on the GoW games, all those games were derivative cover shooters with terrible stories even if they did perform well in terms of sale numbers.
Steam.Where can you download the demo? What platform is this game on even?

Huh?I stopped my dowload after reading all the complaints.
You're acting like you just crawled out from under a rock. Its 2021, this is how games launch now. What is at all surprising?LOL I'm the bad person for expecting it to run.
If you require an online connection to even start the damn game you make sure you have servers up and running by the time the demo is publicly available. I thought that should go without saying. What did they prepare for a few hundred players?
