anyone with an Asus DirectCU card (680 or 7970, both same height) and that can confirm if it has clearance with the PSU? To give a reference, it's about .8" taller than a reference 680GTX. I love the quietness and coolness of this card, and length won't be an issue, but when I saw that height my eyes perked up (5.1" total height)
Twin Frozr fits but it's .02" less than the DC2. I think you'll be fine.
just to follow up to my own question, the Asus 670 CU II does in fact fit...with a smaller PSU (Kingwin 650 Laser Platnium). Any longer and it woud have bee trouble.
Additionally, the newer version of the PDF manual states that the USB 3.0 front panel now uses an internal header connector. I haven't found much about the SD card reader though. Its a great feature considering my wife is a photo buff and we've standardized on the SD/SDHC card format so I'm sure it will get used either way, but the faster the better when transferring 32GB of images.
Wow!
That is one SMART place to mount the power supply. How did you manage that? More details please
Wow that looks nice simple and smart- more pictures- high res if possible
Did you get that made?
Turns out to be a really nice solution I guess
I'm assuming, you can stuff in a 2.5" SSD (if not a full 3.5er), below the PSU?
Just finished an Ivy Bridge build with this case. Video card is from a previous build, planning on swapping that out next month with a 680 or 7970.
Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz
Antec Kuhler H2O 620
Asus Maximus V Gene
G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB DDR3-1866
OCZ Agility 2 120GB
Seagate Momentus XT 750GB
Asus Radeon HD 6870
Corsair 750W
Okay so going for it. Have ordered the following items
Magicool Single 180mm Radiator
Phobya Xtreme 200 Radiator with Phobya G-Silent 18 700rpm Slim White
Phobya Quad radiator grill 4x120mm Black
Yate Loon D12SL-12 Bundle (4x Pack)
4pin Molex (12V) to 4x 3pin Molex (12V) Adaptor Cable
It's got to come from Germany to the Uk, about 5 day for a ''uk company''. SHOCKING.
Idea is the Phobya will go in the front with the current plate being recut. Will try the 180mm or 4x120mm fans.
The Magicool Single 180mm Radiator will fit in the top inc optical drive
Weather i'll fit with fan is a different thing all togther but the front should be enough alone. If anything the 180 being passive is only a benifit.
How in the world are you going to fit all those radiators in this case?
Where will you PSU and storage drives go?
I would love this case if I could fit a single 2x140mm UT60 radiator in it.
Do post pics of progress!
