List of users connected to Cisco AP?

"sh dot11 associations all-client" works fine for me using a "fat" IOS AP. It's only going to show you locally associated clients though. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/access_point/12.4_3g_JA/command/reference/cr43main.html#wp2142440 I think the following part is the key...

On the brink of mastering quick subnetting

Use easy multiples of the block to get into the range you need to be faster, ie, count up by 16, 32, 64, 128, etc. Say for example you have 192.168.1.146/29, and need to know what network it falls into. /29 = increments of 8, so we can just use a multiple, 128, to get up into that range quickly...

    POE switches why/why?

Cisco 3550\3524\3548's are all pre 802.3af standard, may not be the best choice depending on what you are powering. The HP J8762A is an 8 port 802.3af compliant switch and can be had for a relatively reasonable price.

    HP SAS Expander Owner's Thread

The other nice thing about that 2045 is it looks like the HDD compatibility list is much more current, even lists the WD Greens. Not sure if the 3085 supports them also, but that could be a nice perk for the 2045 if they really do stay functional on that controller.

    Network nerds?

Nice, I'm in! I'll have to dig up an IOS that supports IPSec\BGP\GRE and throw it on one of my routers this weekend though. I think I can cram one that supports it on the little 1760 that's laying around here. Oh, and I'll see if I can get a couple people at work in on this too.

    Atom based WHS build....

Thanks for the tips from everyone so far. I think I'm going to change my plans slightly, mostly due to an oversight on my part. When I originally spec'd this out, I was thinking of using the RPC-3216.....so the 2 SAS card's would have supported all the hot swap bays, and I could use the...

Let me preface this whole debacle by saying I'm quite the noob at PHP.....I'm basically just googling and teaching myself via tutorials as I go along. Apprently I've hit the wall in both my php-foo and google-foo. I'm hoping someone can drop some knowledge on me here. So I've been trying to...

Is there a good way to handle this(remote user pass. problems)

Depends a lot on how your infrastructure is setup (mostly what client you are using). We're an all Cisco based shop, so it's as simple as setting the Cisco VPN client to bring up a login screen alongside the default windows login box. (Quite a few VPN clients allow this if I remember correctly...

Pros/cons to having two 8-port gigabit switches vs. one 16-port?

Depends on how much bandwidth you really need, as you will be bottlenecking the bandwidth between the switches to 1Gbps (assuming you are only using one link between the two). If you have multiple clients trying to pass data across that link, you may see congestion on it. I would go with a...

Uh, so logic would lead us to believe that they probably don't want you to print them out since they will be providing you with them later. Bottom line is that it's specifically noted in the forum rules. I'm not sure why people ever post these kind of questions on forums and wait for answers...

    Phone Systems

Budget is going to be a huge factor here. If building on the cheap: trixbox + phones of your choice. If you really want to be cool, setup openfire also and integrate it with asterisk. This would be quite handy in a call center environment. If you've got a large budget, head for a major...
