Title kind of sums it up been using a AMD Radeon VII, trying to decide if it is time to upgrade to a newer card or should I wait a bit longer for the next gen cards and processors and just do a whole new build when that comes out? Any thoughts or suggestions?
Hi I have got some of my previous Apple products just sitting around the house, figured it was time to sell them. I currently have the following
iPhone 7+ ATT Model A1784 32gb - Good condition small scuff/ scratch in lower right corner of case
250.00 obo
iPad Air T-Mobile A1475 32gig includes...
Thanks for the information everyone, its kind of what I was expecting to hear, but never miss an opportunity to learn something new. Intresting to find out that the Ryzen processors work better with faster memory. Thanks for that tid bit. My new system should be up and running this time next...
Gaming would be the major thing. I just dont know that for conventional use (not doing video editing, photo editing or acad) it probably doesnt make a difference. Was curious more then anything else.
I have always wondered this, but how much of a performance difference does the faster memory make? For example if I have DDR4 2666 vs DDR4 3200 (assume the case is the lowest you can get for each speed). How much of a performance improvement would I see. More importantly would it be a noticeable...
Bump and price drop
MSI Z170 Gaming M5 motherboard-------------------------> looking for 150.00+ shipping
16gb (4x4gb) Corsair DDR4 Dominator Platinum Memory 2666 ----> looking for 200.00+ shipping
If you take them both will sell for 325.00+shipping
Due to Neweggs Mobo combo policy I ended up with an Extra motherboard, and some spare DDR4 memory, they are new and in the box. Motherboard box lid opened just to look, memory has not been opened or removed from the box.

On my rig, I just finished a 2 hour straight WoW game, overclocked to 4.8 with an h100i temsp never got about 47 celsius. Now admitedlly WoW is not that intensive but was still happy with the overclock, I think If I reall tweaked the settings and upped the voltage I could probably 5.0 but just...
Well just got done putting everything togther, Asus Z170 Deluze board and i7 6700k, running under an H100i withj fans set at 65% rpm and the asus tool got me to 4.8ghz for my max stable overclock. Pretty pleased with that, will see how the temps do over the next day or two of usage, may back it...
My combo is set to deliver on Friday cant wait to see what the system can do upgrading from an amd 8320 to the i7 6700k. I really liked the 8320 but feature set wise it was getting long in the tooth.
slightly off/ on topic any idea of the performance gains on with a 6700k vs an AMD 8320? I already drank the cool-aide just waiting for a 6700k processor to become availble to use with my new motherboard and memory. Figured I would see if anyone could point me to good place to check out the...
Im planning on upgrading, I have really liked AMD processors and currently use the 8320, but I dont see anything new coming soon from AMD to close the performance gap so time to change with the next intel processor release.
Currently using an AsusCrosshair Formula V motherboard with my AMD 8320 best investment I have ever made board runs well and worry free. Combined with Water cooling I can OC to 4.7k on the processor if I want.
Good points, the AMD card has been doing well but just seems not quit as fast as I had hoped it would be. I game pretty much at 1920x1080 but have two monitors hooked up and am looking at a third so I can playing games across 3 monitors.
I am currently running a Asus R9 290X video card in my rig, I have an option to grade it to the Nvidia 980, for a real good price. Trying to decide if I should wait until the next update in video cards and hold onto what I have or take the plunge. My system specs are a little long in the tooth...
Got everything put together under a moderate load (played World of tanks for 3 a few hours) Open hardware was showing a 40c temp (had the H100 set to high). Give it a week or see to make sure no unexpected issues pop up then will start the OC and where I can go.
Anyone have a good and reliable temp monitor for an AMD 8320? I grabbed open hardware monitor and it doesn't seem to be reading correctly. showing pretty much less then 32 Celsius under a light load with a corsair H100. I want t OC the chip but not with out a reliable temp monitor.
Can anyone give me an idea of what temps I should expect on the an AMD 8320 running stock with a corsair H100 with one set of fans (not enough room to do a push/ pull config in the case)?
Whats the best way to check the temp for this processor. Just want to know a good baseline before I try...
Does anyone know how well this cooler would work on an AMD 8320 cpu. Been trying to find someplace that gives me temps with an amd cpu to see which is the better option to go with.
Ugh it stinks but I would try to contact the manufacturer or fedex and see if I could get the delivery straightened out. Someone spent a bunch of money ordering those cards would be to much like stealing to keep them. I would be very tempted though.
I would look at something like this from tigerdirect.com
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8869088&CatId=7722
Its an AMD A10-7850k processor, 8 gigs of memory and an Asus motherboard. It may not be as fast as some of the Intel offerings but it should...
Ok I have a decent Motherboard Asus Formula VI for the AMD platform. currently running a 965 BE in it. Trying to decide if I should go ahead and get the 8350 (new egg has them on sale for 160.00) or get a new motherboard (Z97 chipset) and a new devil canyon processor when they come out in June...
good questions here are the answers.
1. I dont really have a price cap at the moment
2. Not sure when I plan on overhauling the system. I keep hoping amd will come out with an updated chip but starting to look like I will switch to intel by the end of the year.
3. Mantle and PhysX are...
Real torn trying to decide which card to upgrade to be it nvidia or AMD. Currently running and 5870 from AMD. Definitely time to upgrade. I do almost all my gaming on a single monitor running at 1920 x 1080 res. Any suggestions? Lots of good cards to choose from, looking to get somethign I will...
Thanks for all the advice, im thinking about getting one of the water cooling kits for the cpu. I thought about going crossfire 5870, do you think I have enough psu for that?
Oh and the motherboard is an Asus Formula IV
So the question of the day, I am still running a 5870 video card (my system specs are at end) should I hold of on upgrading to a 7950 or 7970 or jump on one of these cards. For that matter which one is the better bang for the buck? I run my desktop and games (when possible) at 1920x1080, and try...
