Yeah, I watched Avatar in 3d on it the other night, its very cool, We are from Liverpool England and developing in Unity for the rift (after this very video we split a peanut butter sandwich and started a company)
I have one and its absolutely amazing, best piece of hardware I have ever bought. Here's my buddy who is a developer trying it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPUbErPUOso
Id check ebay but if you cant just saw up some old video card heatsinks to size and thermal epoxy on. If you can get a dead board from the same series they should fit
btw the issues with Crysis and Tomb raider you are experiencing are more likely to be GPU bound than CPU. I have 680s in SLI and an overclocked i7 and I still cant get a solid 60fps+ all the time in those two games at ultra settings
I dont see the big deal, get Start8 and you're golden. I'm dual booting 7&8 at the moment but since I got Start8 I've started my application and data migration since I picked up a HyperX SSD for 8. I'll learn to use Metro in my own good time, in the meantime I have work to do. Bad move ramming...
I have an iPad 1 and have used it every single day from the day of purchase, I was as big a cynic as most but my wife got one first and I was intrigued by it, now if it's not close to hand I break out in the sweats. I have a laptop for work and a gaming pc yet it sees more of my leisure time...
Dont get me wrong there were some real 'Wow' moments in there, I just think the SP of MW3 has more of an wnjoyable run and gun factor that seemed to be lacking, plus there was too much time spent in darkness. As I said though MP no contest it's BF3
I found myself pretty impressed with the cinematic set pieces on MW3 especially since I hadn't gone in expecting it to be anything more than a cheesy snooze fest (stepson is mad about COD, been into battlefield sing 1942) I thought (story aside) that it was very cinematic and exciting visually.
DICE need to take.a leaf out of Treyarch's book on the single player mode, what I wouldn't have given for the divine multiplayer of BF3 to be matched with campaign mode as dramatic and cinematic as MW3. I know it's an old engine but it still impressed me, I just kept thinking how utterly...
Easy, use the ms utility to make your win7 dvd into a bootable pendrive (4gb plus) with your vista os drive. Put blank disk back in set bios to boot from usb. Install windows, let it pick up the driver online for your ide card, job's a goodun.
I got this board to play around with and want to use 4gb of DDR3, can I use modern DDR3 or do I have to use the older higher voltage type. DDR2 is twice the price these days
I wont be leaving x58 for a while yet so I dont have a problem with continued development. In fact Imin the market for a new board to take advantage of 4gb modules. 4.2ghz on my H50 will do me till the next gen
