Has anyone been able to compare the X32 FP with a Dell U3223QE for pure office work?
I have a U3223QE today, and I’m considering replacing it with a X32 FP so that it serves the needs of both work and gaming. I love how good the U3223QE looks for productivity-based tasks, and am hoping that the...
This guy's feedback was really interesting to read since he shows how poorly chosen camera settings can make things like haloing look a lot worse than they are in reality.
Please accept my apologies for the heinous thread resurrection, but such this kind chap didn't actually provide a link to the drivers, I thought I would after battling to find them myself.

Haha, I like that :P Yeah, I'll give it a bash. I'm far more comfortable with Windows 2008 anyhow so FlexRAID does seem like the most plausible solution.
I'll have lots of time to play with the WebUI while I wait for the God-forsaken Drobo v2 to copy 4.5TB off of it.
Just to carry on the FlexRAID discussion a little further, would you say FlexRAID is quite good if you don't intend on using FlexRAID-View? I was planning on just using the FlexRAID engine + WebUI and writing data to individual disks as I always have.
Meh, I really thought I had made my mind...
This was my reasoning for seriously considering FlexRAID. As 95% of my data is media, FlexRAID looked to be a good candidate for me. I was (and partly still am) considering a software RAID6 solution in Linux, however FlexRAID allows you to replace drives with bigger ones and reap the benefits...
Does it need much support? Doesn't seem like an awfully difficult product to use. My biggest reason for not punting WHSv1/2 is that it doesn't use parity. You have to waste a lot of disk space "protecting" your data by making duplicate copies. I personally feel that I don't need to backup some...
I'm always curious as to why there aren't more pro-FlexRAID suggestions in threads like these. I'm not running a FlexRAID setup at the moment but I am waiting for my components to arrive.
Wouldn't it make sense to run Windows 2008 and FlexRAID with 2 disks dedicated to parity? That's what I...
Hey Vicey,
Sorry to barge in on your thread, but I'm from the UK too. Would you mind providing a link to that case? I was leaning towards getting the Fractal Design R3 with 8 x 3.5" bays and some 5-in-3s but yours sounds better.
Cheers :)
Hehe, from other random websites I've visited, people have reported that the PS3 displays a blank screen when hooked up to the 2405 over DVI.
I'm embarassed to say that I've never seen Halo 2. :(
I thought you couldn't hook up the PS3 to the DVI port of the 2405 because it doesn't support HDCP?
Component suites me better because my PC is running on the DVI port, and the Xbox360 is connected via VGA.
I didn't notice my 360 leaving images while running on component. That's quite...
Aww, too bad you don't have a digital camera. Do the games look good enough to justify the $500 or so? No washed-out colours, jagged edges, etc?
Anyone else got a picture? :)
Hey all,
I've searched high and low for a high-res picture (hell, any picture at the moment would be better than what I have) of PS3 game running over the component cable (red, green and blue) on a Dell 2405FPW at 720p preferably.
There's gotta be someone here with that. :-) Thanks very...
Just to make your decision even more difficult, I bought the VGA cable to use with my 2405FPW.
IMHO, it definitely looks better. The jagged edges I had with the component cables are gone. The colours are definitely not washed out.
YMMV.
I've tried everything xappie.
I got a swopout controller on Tuesday but it didn't help. Getting the console swopped out :(
Thanks to everyone for the advice.
Hey all,
I'm hoping that someone can shed some light on my little problem.
1st off - the specs:
Biostar Tforce-939
Opteron 146 - Stock HSF
2 x 512MB Generic DDR400
430w Antec TruePower (20-pin)
Ati x600 PCI-E g/card
I can do 48 hours of Prime at 250mhz (2T), Mem @ 133mhz and...
I got the manual and there's nothing about this so no need to be cocky.
Anyways, getting the controller swopped out tomorrow and if that doesn't solve it then I'll get the console swopped.
There's plenty of people over at teamxbox.com with the same problem.
Sorry, forgot to mention this. I replaced the batteries last night with fully-charged 2500mAH rechargeables and when I woke up this morning the problem hadn't gone away.
Hey all,
I have this problem where if I leave my x360 on for quite a long time (the controller obviously turns itself off) the controller won't pair with the x360 when I turn it back on. I've tried pushing those pairing buttons but I dunno if I'm doing it in the correct order and my manual is...
If you push the Live button on the controller, that small blade comes out from the left hand side of the screen.
At the top left there's a battery level indicator.
I had that BenQ for 36 hours before selling it to get a Dell 2405. Best move I ever made.
The viewing angles on that LCD are completely and utterly shit. The colours aren't far off either. Stay away!
Got my VGA cable from Play-Asia.com last week. Came with both of the adaptors.
I ordered the "asian" version. They have a japanese one listed too but its more expensive. To the best of my knowledge, there's no difference between the two.
Hi all :)
I got my BenQ FP202W today and totally loving it :) It might not be the top-of-the-range widescreen but it's 100% for me.
Has anyone tried using a Xbox360 + VGA cable on it? If so, please post your comments.
Thanks :)
