Starting today I've had a little weird problem... I'll hear this "tssst" sound and while it's making that noise the computer freezes up. Once it stops making the noise everything is functioning like it regularly does.
Also, when I went to save a project I had been doing in Photoshop CS4 I...
For reference, specs are in the signature.
Basically, when I watch Live TV it'll work for a couple minutes and then the video/audio will stutter like crazy. If I hit the replay button the video that previously stuttered will play fine and after a couple minutes of watching it'll start...
I've been thinking about building one, the thing is I'm not sure I could afford to run another computer 24/7. Although I could turn the laptop and desktop off when they're not being used... and the media center power consumption is pretty low if I take the hard drives out... now you've got me...
Just Google "royalty free clip art" - plenty o' sites that offer 'em, I'm sure there are some free ones out there.
I don't know if it's the same with stock clip art but with stock images it's pretty common that each image will have a separate terms of use... you may want to locate and read...
Kind of a combination; I want to turn my desktop into a media center and ditch the old one. This way if I get a laptop I can plug my keyboard/mouse/monitor into it and also unplug those and take it with me.
Would the Asus M50SV-A1 do VGA out @ 1680x1050?

I could buy that right now, the G1 I'd have to save a bit for but I think I would benefit more from the better CPU in this one than an extra GB of memory in the G1 NCIX has got listed...
I know absolutely nothing about laptops besides the fact I want one. What I'm looking for is rather basic me thinks; dual core, 3-4GB of memory, 250gb hard drive and a video card that can do VGA or DVI out with a supported res of 1680x1050.
Is it possible to do that (VGA out from laptop to...
Thanks for the suggestions... looks like I'll go with that SATA card.
The thing about those prices is they're US, I live in Canada so everything is a bit more expensive. The good news is memory is usually on sale every week so I'll keep my eyes out for some G.Skill. NCIX has the 750TX on...
So I added a hard drive to my makeshift HTPC and it turns out the PSU doesn't have enough power, no real surprise since it sucks. So rather than just upgrade the PSU I figure I might as well build a decent media center. Here's what I'm thinkin':
Case: Sunbeam Acrylic HTPC (because it's cheap...
If I drop the hard drives to 8 (which would actually bring the cost of a case down, and it's more than enough storage for me) would a Corsair 750TX work? Says +12V = 60A max load so that should be more than enough right (if I do the math you posted above)? Another thread says each drive can take...
So I added a fourth hard drive to my makeshift media center and it was fine for a couple days. Today the PC started randomly freezing and the only thing I changed was adding the hard drive. OK, unplug it from the PSU and now everything is fine. It's a cheap PSU that came with the case so it...
