The guys who bought a 1080 or 1080 Ti should be happy that they're getting some longevity out of their cards. I'll just wait for the next generation and hope they have the new architecture all ironed out by then.
Guess I'm the odd one out. Once a year, I pull off all the key caps and clean them individually, vacuum out the base with a brush extension and clean in between the switches with cotton tips and alcohol. It's oddly therapeutic.
Good morning all. I reseated the heat sink a little while ago and I'm still getting similar idle temps. Prime had two cores throttling out after a few minutes. Didn't even hit the 10 minute mark.
Nope. No background programs running. Task manager showed next to no CPU usage. Even disabled...
I use RealTemp mainly. Just downloaded Core Temp 1.7 to double check. They're both pretty much on par.
I'll be reseating it in the morning using NT-H1 again. The fan is working properly; can hear it ramping up in prime95.
The temps were definitely above average when I first got it, though...
95c. I don't think it's seated incorrectly since these noctua heatsinks are pretty up and down. I'll reseat it in the morning when I get home from work to double check.
I've recently replaced my CPU cooler from an H60 (massive air bubble) to an NH-L9x65. The temps with the H60 were sitting over 70C at idle, so the new heatsink was pretty much mandatory. However, my 4670k is idling around 60C at stock settings. This leads me to believe there's a problem with...
Eh, I'm still sporting the ST45SF that came with my case with the fan constantly running, but it's not an issue for me. Have you considered inverting the fan? Found some info in this post on OCN.
Also, I found this article yesterday where they actually replace the stock fan with a NF-A9...
The high profile ram prevents coolers like that from fitting, unfortunately.
Cool, thanks for the info. Is your PSU orientated with the fan taking in air from the top or inside the case?
After seeing my CPU temps sitting at 70°C idle, I gave my SG05 a big old clean out just to find out there's a massive air bubble inside my H60. Anyways, I reseated it with some fresh TIM to get it in passable condition for the interim and got the temps down to 60°C. Since AIOs are a real cunt...
Yes, they went overboard with the RGB lighting and windows, but at least the case wasn't designed with XTREME water cooling setups in mind, so it's a step in the right direction.
Some more stuff from Smallformfactor.net, thanks to Phuncz. New cases from Silverstone.
The SG14. An FT03-mini refresh.
The VT01 and VT02. Cases for the new STX form factor mobo
And the RVZ03. AKA: The exact bloody same as every other RVZ slim case by Silverstone.
