The tweezers I figured out, but don't have a rework station
Btw there seems to be something wrong between the right hand leg of C80 and the bottom right leg of the IC. Shouldn't those be nice and shiny?
Whhaaaaaaat? Is that the fit WITHOUT modding (cutting out) the front aluminum?Just thought you guys might want to see this. I know I did all of my "will X video card fit" research in this thread. My V1.0 PSU started chirping with a GTX 570 so its in the process of RMA. This is the Powercolor 7950, The plastic shroud of the card hits the front but it does fit and the front cover will go on. Take note that you will probably have to remove everything but the mobo/cpu to install this card.
Here is my build using this small and excellent case, I have modified it using a lot of ideas in this thread and looking at HaxEJxuKs build.
System specs:
Gigabyte H55N-USB3
Intel i5 760
Corsair 4 GB CL9 1333MHz DDR3
EVGA GTX 570
Intel 510 250 GB SSD
Antec Kuhler H20 620 (Push configuration)
Corsair HX 650W
Other parts used:
Lian Li PE-01 Power Supply Extension Bracket
Scythe Slip Stream 1200RPM 120mm Slim Case Fan
I have mounted a Antec Kuhler 620 on the top of the case (exhausting hot air out using the fan that came with the water cooler) and used a slim scythe fan in the front of the case as a intake fan.
It was a close fit to the ATX PSU and the GTX 570 I fitted in the case as well, but it was sure worth it .
Here is some pictures:
I need to change the power button, its not the best thing Silverstone made .
You'll be more than fine. The 550W "minimum" thrown out by card manufacturers is there as a safety blanket so that the card will run on mediocre generic PSU's. The 450W in the SG05 is a quality unit and will have no problem supplying the needed amperage for the card. The thing to watch out for would be not overclock your CPU through the roof as well, but even then you shouldn't 400W.hi there! i have been planning to get a gtx680 for my sugo sg06 450w.
At first i had knew that max gpu length case permits is 9.5 inches. But i noticed that 10 inches gpu's barely fit, so i decided to take a shot with 10" gtx680. Lately i saw the power requirements of 680 which is min 550W with 38A on 12V rail. According to the tech sheet, my ST45SF can handle only 450W with 36A on 12V. Yet gtx470 (of which power requirements are exactly same with gtx680) is listed as supported gpu for officially at silvestonetech.com!
So i am a little bit confused here. Should i go with gtx680 or not?

It's finally here

Hey MissJ84, Does the length of the card have any effect on the fan in the front of the case? I'm wondering if you can still fit a 120mm fan in the front with the 680. Could you take a pic of it? Thanks!
No modding, it's shorter than the case. I took out the psu, top tray, and front fan. I then slid the front of the card through the front fan hole from the inside, so the front of the card was sticking out the front of the case, and then slid it backwards while flipping it over the Samuel 17. I did also have to take the slip stream off the heatsink, but after it was in, reassembling wasn't a problem. Just make sure you screw the card in before reassemblyMissJ84, did you have to cut the front for it to fit, or it fit without any modding?
Is that a 120mm fan? So you had a 140mm fan in there at first but had to switch it out to make room for the 680 so with the 680 it only fits 120mm?
Thanks to Tony Ou from Silverstone, it is official now! ST45SF supports GTX 680.

epeen ???
They have a modular 450W gold coming, but what do you need 500W for?
