$50 gets you an unlocked xeon version of the i7 920. just thought people here might like to know about this beast seeing all of the "should i upgrade from my 1st gen i7?" threads lately.

i ordered one on tuesday and got it today, they work in desktop x58 boards and don't need to have ecc ram, but do support it.

Pretty sure these aren't unlocked. I owned an ES L5640 (B1 stepping) and it wasn't. Furthermore, they are C0 stepping, which is kind of bad.

Worth about $50 lol

Correct, they are locked, my bad. My I7 920 c0 I had did 3.9 all day, I know d0 are better oc potential, but i7 920's still go for $100+ used

I recommend non-ES W3520 CPUs. I got mine for $70 shipped and it is D0.
