I am looking at getting this TV Tuner card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815116028) and while it does come with a remote I would rather use the official xbox 360 remote that came with the HD-DVD player I have. Will my remote play well with this tuner and vista ultimate? I am mostly looking to condsense my remotes. with out having to buy a seperate remote for an additional $80-$120.

its probably all in the IR receiver but as far as i know my Xbox360 remote doesn't even work with my Vista Media Center official Microsoft IR receiver. There is a program called Girder that would probably let you do it if it wasn't native, but you'd still need the IR receiver.

you can get the MS Media Center remote + IR receiver for pretty cheap (30$) its the A9O-00009
model.. i know its not the best solution but its a good remote..

OP I have this for sale http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815127006&Tpk=msi theater along with this http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Phil...sem/rpsm/oid/158310/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do barely used and like new condition for $65 shipped. The reason why I'm pointing this out is because the remote that comes with the MSI TV Tuner is phenomenal. I would love to keep it but I barely use it, You can see pics here http://www.flickr.com/photos/29847151@N07/sets/72157608408244187/
The MCE remote comes with an IR receiver for the PC and the remote is even compatible with the XBOX 360 as I have tested it on mine. That way you only have to use one remote. PM me if you're interested.
