X1900XT lowered ram frequency

Since swapping out my 7800gtx for an x1900xt my system memmory has been downclocked.
Its as if a memmory divider has been implemented, and i can change, it, for some reason on this mobo if i try and run the memmory higher it resets my cpu overclock.
Im running an X2 4400 Clocked at 2.47ghz
235 Ht Frequency
10.5 Multiplier
and in cpuz it is telling me that my ram frequency is running at 224.6mhz (this used to match the ht when i had the 7800gtx in)
i have ddr 500 memmory
and am using an asus a8n sli premium.
has anbody else experineced anything like this? or has a solution?

dont use half multipliers. That is why your memory is reporting a different speed than what you are expecting.
