I hate to see this day come, but I must part with my baby, my sweet sweet computer. I built this system in Late January 2006, and must part with it, as I REALLY need a laptop, and have retired from most to all online gaming and do not require a system with this much balls.
Specs:
Proc: AMD Athlon 64 3700+ (This proc has been OC'd to 2.65 ghz stable for testing purposes)
Heatsink: ZALMAN Al-cu 7000A 92mm HSF (One of the best cooling units on the market)
Mobo: MSI K8N Neo-4 Platinum Motherboard
Video Card: eVGA Geforce 7800GT (Has OC'd to 7800GTX speeds, stable)
Ram: 1 gig G.Skill Ram PC3200
Sound Card: SB Live Audigy 2
Hard Drives: 120 Gig Seagate 8mb Cache, 7200 RPM
200 gig Western Digital (Thanks to zippty2001 for pointing out a small error) (SLAVE) 8mb cache, 7200 RPM = 320gigs of total hard disk space
Optical Drives: Sony 16x DVD-RW Dual Layer, Sony 48x24x48x16x CD-RW/DVD combo drive
Power Supply : Antec Smart Power 400W (THanks to zippty2001 for pointing out an error)
Case: Aspire-X Superalien , Black with Red eyes, FULL ATX case for maximum protection and airflow
Other specs:
2 Front USB ports (I disabled front Audio jacks), 8 TOTAL USB ports
11 total Case Fans, balanced intake and exhaust for efficient air flow.
This computer was 100% built by me, benchmarked, and has been stable for 2 months.
If someone is interested in purchasing this system, I'd be looking for $1075 shipped to cover expenses on a laptop that will fit up to my standards
What I want in a laptop: Brand does NOT matter, what matters is:
NON-Celeron proc : 1.8ghz+
1 gig ram
60+ gig hd
DVD (Duh)
Full wireless connectivity
Most importantly, a STRONG battery life (2.5 hrs+ MINIMUM), and a second battery if you have one!
I dont need anything really flashy, just strong, stable performance for non to very light gaming.
