Actually its more of a need to buy. Hard drive died and I'm going to try and replace the control board. So I need a :
model: ST380021A
Seagate Barracuda Ultra ATA/100 80GB 7200 RPM 2MB cache

Please help a guy out trying to save his daughter's baby pictures!!
 
call seagate and ask how much their recovery service is, they will rma for free, but recover for a price, afaik
 
i have no idea...ask seagate. may be the years. may be nothing major. That drive is part of a raid setup i'm selling. if you want the whole thing and never worry about losing photos again unless you delete em, let me know.
 
I've looked into recovery services and $500 minimum is a little pricey. I now have a RAID setup but thanks for the offer. oh, and BUMP
 
there is a huge chance that is what i have (just pulled it out of my system when i upgraded to core2duo)so it would just need a good format and packing. let me check the exact model # when i get home...
