As title says, looking for a i7-4790 or better (Same socket, same gen, don't want to upgrade motherboard). My dad currently has an i5-4570 in his rig and is looking to play Fallout 76. I'm guessing the game will play okay without the upgrade, however I'd like to get him to at least minimum recommended specs. Everything else in his rig is fine (GTX970 and 16GB RAM), so we just need a new CPU.
Looking to say around $130ish for the processor (latest listed/sold price I could find on the forum). Will consider going a little higher if the CPU is better than the 4790 mark, but don't want to drop too much since he'll probably need to do a whole new rig within a year or two anyway.
