Anyone have a set of either the above GPUs they wouldnt mind parting with? Building a Win7 Vintage PC and wanting to go Crossfire for it.... Please hit me up if you have something. Thank you

why not grab something like a 5970, 7990, or one of amds multi gpu cards. (5970s are like $50 on ebay) (690s may be had as well)

There's someone selling 10 x w9100s here in new condition for $100/ea I believe which are basically 7970s with more memory. Might be loud and power hungry but you could try that.

Don’t bother with 690’s IMO. They were absolute monsters of their time, only second to the Titan Z, but used ones at reasonable prices are a crapshoot. I’ve tried to get a (fully working) used 690 on multiple occasions and both had hardware issues.

can you game on them, and do they use the same driver?
*EDIT. Ive searched forum, cant find anyone selling w9100's, by chance you have a link?

i have an old 6950 i flashed to a 6970 and its stable just sitting around i just pulled it a while ago hit me up with an offer i'll send you pics if you want

I've got a single 6870 that I ~used~ to run in crossfire (sold off the other half years ago). It worked last time I tried it - in 2015?

yeah mine is a toxic hd6950 2g gddr5 pci-e dl-dvi-i+sl-dvi-d/hmni/dual mini dp
pn 299-4e182-700sa SKU# 11188-07

i also have extra crossfire connectors for these cards just laying around if you need some

btw like i said i remember flashing this to a 6970 and it worked fine

Here's someone selling the server variant s9000 cards, you'd have to rig up a fan on the front or install an aftermarket cooler though:

A few things about these. They are the same chip as a 7970 however have 6gb of vram. That might be a problem as I haven't found a 7970 vbios that has 6gb of vram that could be flashed(there may be).

That makes me question how well they would do for crossfire under the pro drivers (amd is generally pretty nice). They do have that bridge on the pcb so maybe.
