WTB: Cheap web browsing machine

My dad asked me to find him a machine just to browse the web. I don't need an OS, since I'm just going to throw Ubuntu onto it.

Laptops, desktops, whatever, so long as it's at least fast enough to run Ubuntu. Inexpensive is the real issue here. I could go for parts, but I'd like to buy something complete.
 
He didn't really give me a budget, so the cheaper the better, but I doubt he'd balk at paying like 200-300
 
I dunno what Ubuntu needs. But I have a simple PC running Windows ME that I could format. It has 128mb ram and such if your interested
 
how about a dell pentium 3 933 256M ram 20 gig hard drive.

40 plus ship. It is actually in great condition. Has COA for NT4 but currently has 2000 on it for testing purposes only. Can wipe the drive clean before ship. Should be a great little Linux machine.

I have a Socket A 2700+ 768MB DDR333 I think a 60GB hdd, radeon 7500 128MB video card. I have to double check the stats when I get home. But ill give it to you for 300$ shipped. CD burner I think
