WTB: 1060 6GB

Sure, but I’m looking to upgrade from a P400, which can handle 2 4K transcodes, whereas the 1050Ti can only handle 3. The 1060 6GB can do 5-6, hence my ask.

Honestly I would say go for a 1050 TI if price is an issue, if not, shoot for a 1660 series card. They have the new 265 encoder you find on the RTX 2000 series and is the cheapest card that has it all (the 1650 cards DO NOT, has to be 1660)

Used prices around my place for a 1060 6 gb locally are like 200 bucks, at that price just get a 1660 series

EDIT

Well it seems the 1650 super supports b frame as well, and same of the 1650's since they ran out of the old chips finally. 1660 is still the safest bet if you want the most fully featured card you can get at the moment. Then just do a driver hack that was mentioned above and it will support as many streams as it physically can

Yes, I'd consider a 1660 as well. I've seen 1060 6GB here around $130-150 in the past month and have missed out on them, hence trying to stay under that $200 tier.

I am aware of unlocking the transcode limit. These are 4K to 1080p transcodes. I'm hitting the "as many streams as it physically can". Per the link in my OP, my P400 does 2 before maxing out memory bandwidth and VRAM, 1060 6GB can do 5-6 due to the expanded VRAM.
