Where was this performance ever stated? And you have to be careful because a lot of their slides and the things that they were talking about were referencing performance "In VR"
Why even buy a 980Ti now? That's some killer pricing. 980Ti owners should be on a firesale.

This is why you don't buy Titans. They are like early access for the x80 Ti.
LOL all Titan X owners just died a little inside.
Seriously though, it's their fault for buying such ridiculously priced cards to begin with.
They enjoyed this level of performance for over a year. You can always save money by waiting.LOL all Titan X owners just died a little inside.

I didn't see a single fps counter other than the Paragon demo. I can run that game just fine. I'm waiting for a review before I get excited.

It did sting, but I sold my 980 Ti before it drops even lower in value and with the upcoming infamous driver gimping. I don't want to see it competing with the 390x in a few months.Certainly it stings the Titan X and 980 Ti owners no doubt, but I'm sure they'll manage. Part of the upgrade cycle. I'm glad I sold off my SLI and kept a single 970 oc'ed though.

Hey some of us may belong to the Kia owners club!!!Lol I don't think the difference between a Titan X and 980 is quite the same as Lambo vs KIA.

That reminds me,Well, the most expensive 'enthusiast' KIA is around 60k, while the cheapest Lambo is around 200k. That's comparable to a 970 and Titan X
I feel my 780 has held out for a good part of time. Still able to get respectable fps in games. I actually consider it one of the better cards that I have owned. If you buy new tech at launch and it lasts you for over a year, you got your money's worth. Those Titan X / 980ti will be relevant for a very long time. Then again there is the 700 series longevity fail.
I'm wondering what can be considered as a fair price for 970 now. I have an EVGA SSC ACX 2.0+ with backplate bought in October which I'm planning to replace with 1070, and I'm scratching my head as new gen certainly devalues the 900 series.
True. 980Ti's won't move now,and the used market for them...well,price cuts will be a must. Very good performance for the pricing on Pascal. GTX1080 in a few weeks,GTX1070 later. I just bought a Nano open box from a local computer store for 430 Cdn,just days ago. Love the card, but must admit Nv have outdone themselves with Pascal.
