windows xp and this digi :\ bah!

Hi yeah i just recently bought a DSC-V1 sony 5 mp digital camera. and i was trying to install it to my pc which has xp pro on it. So i plug in the usb port and the thing doesnt recognize i just get an unknown device and it cant find any other drivers so... i cant do anything to instal it to work on my pc is there a problem with the camera. btw ive tried searchin for 6 hrs to get drivers there are none for this camera for xp they expect xp to have it which it obviously doesnt :( anyways i called tech support too they want me to rma it but i think its not broken oh well any help would be great. i even tried the cd that came with it still nothing

here is the error im getting the cam i am almost positive works fine and thats not the problem but this i have no idea how to fix there are no drivers anywhere for this :( ive tried the drivers off the cd and got nothing still. that usb driver is like not meant for this camera.
