win7 only sees 1 of 2 drives

Hi There,
I have been having trouble trying to get win7 to see the 2 drives..they both show up in device manager and in computer management both are online.both are identical drives..when I go to computer only 1 drive is seen..
any help is greatly appreacaited..:)

Can you post a screen shot of disk management? Is there any data on the second drive, is it formatted and does it have a drive letter assigned?

no it's not formatted and no drive letter is assigned to it..how do I go about making a screen shot?
 
hit start menu

type disk management

you will see a link that says 'create and format hard drive partitions'

click it

your disk should be in there.. it if it's not then it's not plugged in correctly or something that that effect. You may need to format it/partition it, etc.

right click and format if needed.. size as desired.
