Win 7 Ultimate 64bit problem

A couple of days ago I installed the latest MS updates. After install any time I open Firefox, I get a Windows error message to save my work, then windows shuts down. I reverted my computer to an image that was saved before the updates and the problem went away. Today I reinstalled all the updates and the same problem came back. Any time I open Firefox, Windows will shut down. IE works fine, but IE sucks on a lot of web pages so I haven't been using it lately.
Has anyone else seen this problem? Any ideas how I can fix? I want the updates for security reasons, but I would like to run Firefox!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!
 
Uninstall firefox, download the latest version of firefox, and install that. Ran into the same issue and that fixed it.
 
Did this work? I havent run into this because Ive been using chrome. If this happens after you reinstall FF again and you absolutely must have firefox I recommend going to a mirror site like filehippo.com and getting a more stable version or even an earlier version of it. Gluck
 
I was already running the most current version of FF.
Uninstall / reinstall of FF did the trick!
