Will this card work with 64 bit winXP?

I am thinking of purchasing an Athlon 64 3000+ system in the next week or so but don't know how that is going to affect my ability to use my current cards. I have seen that MicroSquish is letting people try the 64 bit windows - but is that going to totally screw me up?

The two cards I am concerned about: Pinacle AV/DV Studio 9 and Santa Cruz Turtle Beach 5.1

As I understand it, the OS will need 64 bit optimized drivers to use the cards - is this right?

Or should I just keep my current version of WinXPPro on the sys and not worry about 64 bit winders?

Current SYS:
AMD Athlon 1000
Tyan Mobo
1Gb PC 133 SDRAM
128Mb GeForce4 ti 4800 SE
Pinacle Studio AV/DV
Santa Cruz Turtle Beach 5.1
Cable Internet
WinXP Pro

Unfortunatly they won't.

The only sound drivers that work are AC'97. I would recommend dual booting OS's.

There's a thread somewhere around here talking about the 64-bit edition of Windows, and its lack of drivers for seemingly common hardware.

Your Athlon 64 will work fine in the 32-bit edition of Windows XP you already have, so just use that. Then, yes, you could dual boot to the trial of WinXP 64 and try it out, but realize that much of your hardware won't work.
