This is driving me nuts. I have one system running XP pro and one running XP home. They are connected to a D-Link DI-604. All I want to do is share files and printers. Can someone please walk me through setup?

Try

Start, Control Panel, Network Connections, Right click on Local Area Connection and then click properties. Check to make sure File and Printer Sharing are installed, if not, click Install, select Service, then click Add, select File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks, then click OK.

If File and Printer Sharing are already installed I bet it's your firewall holding things up, if you have it active.

Ahh, all I did was check the file and print sharing...I had to click install and setup the services. You just saved the day man, I've been trying to figure this out forever. Thanks! :D
